Wet Day

Ragus is just hanging out here overnight but Momma made sure he was freshly bathed before he came so it would be easier for me. I have to laugh as I dried him out after this and after dinner he looks pretty much the same. Its melting and raining and the dogs - well all look like this so I am late blogging. I have towels and blankets for them to snuggle into with heaters and I am going one by one drying and brushing. I will be doing the same just before bed. All I can do is laugh as it is rather comical but oh my they are having fun and that is all that matters.

This is why Ragus is soaked for the 3rd time today. Think we will stay in till bedtime and then I will just have 1 marathon of drying.

Gracie is playing her heart out with Cody. Cody gets a bath along with Grace tomorrow and we do it just before their arrival so we can have dry dogs. Ragus will be blown out and dried and his undercarriage and feet spruced up. Challenging but doable - don't you worry. :-)

Murphy got drenched and looked like a wet rag too but I was too busy drying to capture him. Jesse stayed dry despite playing and only had to get a quick blow and brush out.

Then we had tv room time where Nathan sits with the crew with blankets etc and I dry and brush out. hmmmm

Yes they get the recliner, the dog beds, the couches. This is a dog room tv room after all. Nathan and the dogs. Every now and then I watch tv with them.

They sit on the top, on the tables with beds on it. Its covered up and designed for the dogs don't you know. It used to be our dining room but its a man and dog cave these days.

Jesse can't make up his mind. Its the couch, no its the recliner and he just steps up into them. No stairs required. It's a dawgs life. Wish me luck and fast drying at 10pm. :-)

PS: Oh my gad Nathan took them out again. I think its time to get him drying don't you think?

Love the pic of Jesse on the couch. They sure have a good life! Rain here too, crazy weather. Hoping some of our 3 feet of snow will melt :-)

Your blow dryers must be industrial strength to blow dry all these wet dogs.
Ragus looks like he just had a bath.
Murphy has such a serious look on his face in this photo.

Kathy: I have 2 stand dryers and one tabletop dryer all professional models that can direct anywhere you want. I also have a high velocity dryer that actually blows the water out. So, I first blow them out so there is no water in their coat with the high velocity dryer that can be blown out, then I put them in the tv room with blankets. I then take each and finish them by drying with my 2 Oster stand dryers so they get done 2 sides at once. I brush and comb them during drying at this point. I also have a tabletop pro dryer that I have running in the tv room to keep them warm and get dryer. Its a big process but it works and then I get to do all those blankets. You wonder why I need blankets always. heh The 10pm dry session is the most difficult as usually I finish by midnight and Nathan is already in bed at 1015 with the dry ones. But wet coats mean cold dogs and mats so its a must in my opinion. More rain tomorrow.

OMG Darlah, what a lot of work. But, your doggies and the doggies you look after sure get the best of care and lots of love. That is so important and you are so very dedicated. Thank you for all you do....

You need an industrial sizewasher/ dryer to wash all the blankets that are used to absorb the water from melting snow as well as to keep the dogs from getting chilled.
You really do need to have a stock pile of dry blankets and bedding for the crew.
I am not really that much of a fan of laundry. Ha ha.

I hate doing laundry and we still have 2 loads to go. Dennis will stay up so the last one gets in the dryer. Its why I say I can never get enough towels or blankets. they all get used too plus the dogs don't care if they are faded. :-) They only care of they are warm.
