Belated Birthday

I had to put this photo up as it was way too cute not to.

----------------------------------------------

Hi Nathan and Darlah,

Just wanted to send an update pic of Griffin on his second birthday. This time he actually waited until we sang happy birthday. Both dogs loved the kibble cake I made.

If you put this on you site please also send Birthday wishes to Bailey and Tuffy from Griffin.

Thanks!

Tania

Happy Birthday Griffin! The cake looks delicious! Please share the recipe!

I call it a kibble cake as I make it out of their dog food. I feed them (Griffin and Phoenix) Fromms so I used enough kibble for one meal.
I softened it with a little warm water and added:
- a little grated cheese,
- 1 egg (to hold together) and,
- something the enjoy eating (cooked bacon, chicken, etc.).

I used some of their liver treats as didn't have any bacon or chicken around. I lined the baking dish with parchment paper (but it didn't stick). I baked it in the oven at 350 for a couple of mins (until the egg was cooked as it was the only raw ingredient). I let the cake cool and then put it in the fridge.

The next day I just lightly decorated it with Greek vanilla yogurt (I didn't use a lot as Griffin is a bit picky) and peanut butter.

It's pretty dense but I was able to cut it with a butter knife. I cut the cake into smaller pieces when I put it in their bowl. It was all gone in a couple of minutes.
