Fun Between Rain

I watch the dogs and no matter what happens they always manage to have fun. They truly know the meaning of letting loose. Oh, life should be like that. Here's a gallery of unedited photos. No time to eliminate blurs, cut offs and what have you so enjoy it anyway.

Sun has been blazing bright all afternoon. Morning - rain - hard and soft.

Today I got everyone brushed and combed out while Nathan was at the store. Dennis was sleeping. Jonathan was taking a shower and the pups were sleeping. Jon got out of the shower and the shower wouldn't turn off. I mean full blast so I go running around trying to find the shut off and finally find it but one can't do without water throughout the house so after getting past the ' oh my gad now look at that water I am wasting' Jon went to work and I went to find a screwdriver. I took off the knob and pushed the mechanism in. It worked. Life is grand when you are highly stressed.

While I went a tad crazy the dogs were barking. I am rather conditioned to it as we still have Inula in heat and if you hear a dog barking in my videos, its Kat. That is what happens night and day till heats are over. No wonder Nathan goes to the store daily.

Other than that we have had a good day. Everyone really likes each other. The adults have sniffed pups we have carried around. It's good for the pups and good for them.

Glad I didn't do gardening work. Its supposed to drop to freezing. There's a reason for my laziness. hahaha

Now off to do the 2 other blogs.

The dogs, as you say, have a blast each and every day! Thanks for the pics of Clarity, Darlah! :-)

FOR SIMONE - Darlah has suggested I ask for advice regarding your recent flight w/ Dusty. Which airline did you take? Were you able to take her out of the carrier at all or at least put the carrier on your lap so you could comfort her? Did you find the airline and staff accommodating to you and Dusty's needs?

If anyone else has flown w/ their pet on board w/ them would welcome your input as well. Thx all! :-)

Hello Debi & Laci. Kona & I flew to West Palm Beach on a direct Air Canada flight
2 years ago. I was told that he had to stay in his Sherpa carry bag. I could not take
him out of it while in flight. He was very good. He did not cry. It was a 3.5 hour flight.
If Laci is anxious their are meds that can be prescribed by the vet. We chose not to
use them. The return trip was just as smooth. I did lean down to talk to him. He could see me through the mesh panel on the Sherpa bag. Good luck on your trip.

Thx Kathy! Reassuring to know you and Kona had a smooth flight both ways. I believe it is West Palm that we will be flying to although there is also Orlando to consider. Time and carrier may determine.

We have the "Original Sherpa Bag" airline approved in medium. It's 16Lx9Hx11W. Seems so small and while I'll check I believe the large will be too big and likely not the size that will fit under the seat. What did you use for Kona?

I see Martha Stewart has her bags on sale at PetSmart now and it appears exactly the same as what we have to will check to see if it's airline approved and what the differences are. (It sure was fancy!) :-)

For any of the new puppy parents to be taking home females - this Sherpa bag is pink and pretty! A must for the little girls. LOL

We used the Large sherpa for our travels. As long as it fits under the seat it is fine. Anyone taking a pup home I suggest a large as they do outgrow them.

April 22, 2015 | Registered CommenterDarlah

OK, I'll check in to the large as the med looks so terribly confining. I assumed the airline would only accept no larger than a medium.

Hello Debi & Laci, Kona has a large size Sherpa bag and it does fit under the seat.
It is quite flexible. The visibility in this type of bag is good for the pup. They can see out. While we waited in the boarding lounge area, I unzipped the top of the bag so Kona could pop his head out.

April 22, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterKathy & Kona

Hi Kathy & Kona - I searched on line and see as you have said that the large bag isn't that much bigger that the medium. I had come to my own mistaken conclusion that it would be substantially bigger. It appears we must take Air Can as West Jet has some stops and as you said Air Can is direct.

Thanks for your help. It will be nice to get our main concern for travel w/ Laci on airline set up so we can feel comfortable and put that side. The rest is easy as far as I'm concerned. :-)

Thx again!

Thanks for the pics! Looks like shy Lily is having a great time :)

April 23, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterBeth

Yes, Lily is doing well. She rather likes me too. :-) It took her a little bit to loosen up but she has. She's enjoying herself!

April 23, 2015 | Registered CommenterDarlah

So glad to hear that-- this has no doubt been great for her!

April 25, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterBeth

Beth: I believe it is. She did have her sister here for part of the time. The socializing aspect is so good for them. Even if they stood and watched it gains some comfortability as she did at first. Now she is engaging.
