It's Raining

Mostly the dogs want to stay inside but when they go out - oh boy are they a mess. Baths next week. This week just a lot of brushing.

Harpers had a bath when he first arrived but e doesn't look that way now. hahaha He is such a cutie! I am a scallywag so there!

Ella lives sitting on high on the diving board. I wonder if she will swim this year. I surely hope so. I know her Momma Roxie and her half sister Adele will be getting wet.

Goldie and Harper play and play and play. See, you can have fun even when it is raining.

Abby came for a play date today with Patches. They had a grand time!!

It's nice that you have playdates on a regular basis.

Is that Ty in the first photo?
Ella looks like she is waiting for something to happen.

Yes, that is Ty. We see him a lot. Rather enjoy the visits.

Ella and Adele are half-sisters? Same mom? Who are the dads?

April 8, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterHolly

Ella is Kat and Roxie, Adele is Abigail and Truffie. Roxie is Abigail and Phantom. Roxie is Abigail's daughter and so is Adele. They are related via Abigail. You have apricots, reds and chocolates in the line but this line always tends to throw one black and white or tri and the rest a variety of colours. Panda is Roxie's full sibling. She was the only black and white in that litter. Abigail threw the only twins. They were attached to the same placenta. It is a very interesting line but not many black and whites - just 1 each litter. Remember the chocolate pups we had here? The mom of that litter was from our Abigail and Truffie.

I enjoy hearing about the pairings in your breeding program. It can be a little
confusing for the average puppy person.
Your explanation helps me see similarities in Roxie, Ella and Adele.
Very interesting.

Wow, Ty is absolutely beautiful. What a beautiful colour and lovely expression on his face!

Kathy and these days Roxie is looking more like Abigail. They are all related on purpose so we can continue the line. Got to try to get more divers. :-)

I don't recall Chocolates from Ms Abs and Truffie. What are their names? I do recall that Chocolates Truffie and Bailie came fro Fiona.

April 9, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterDebi & Laci

Debi Abs and Truffie did not have chocolates. But Adele carries the gene for reds, chocolates and sables. Never tested Abs but it means that Abs must have the gene. I know Treasure who is a half sister does.

I thought so. From your posting above it gave me the impression Abs and Truffie had 2 chocolates. And, I wondered as I couldn't recall them. Thx for clarifying.

Remember Mr. Anderson? He's a chocolate sable.

April 10, 2015 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Yes, I remember Mr. Anderson well. I held him the whole time Nathan gave us a tour of your backyard the first time we visited. I remember hoping his Mom would change her mind as I wanted him. :-) (I think you had him longer than his littermates b/c his Mom just had a baby.) His canine Mom is Treasure?? He was the cutest little thing! Any recent pics of him?

April 11, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterDebi & Laci

Have some but have to dig it out. Yes, Treasure is the mom. He looks the same as he did last picnic. He still has all that color. Treasure and Abigail are related.

April 11, 2015 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Oh, thx Darlah, but no need to dig up pics. I recall seeing pics of him @ last year's picnic.
