Got To Laugh

Yes another insane day. I just finished thinning out Cooper. The pile of hair is today's pile. I did this over 3 days several times a day with each day a pile of hair of similar size.

Click on Photo for Larger ViewClick on Photo for Larger ViewThis was Cooper before the thinning out.

I also had Murphy and Satch visiting, Logan, Panda to bathe plus Mabel (bath and cut) and Satch and Cooper and no Nathan here. I even did nails but shhh don't tell Nathan as its HIS job. So blogs are suffering. But I 'will' play catchup. Tomorrow we have Lynda and Gallan coming over for a swim and good conversation and I have Harper and Sparky to do before they arrive plus brush out my own.

Nothing today for Inula as Val's boy beat her (we have beat Val's dog so nice to have it go both ways) but Ella ended up getting 2 points. On Wednesday Nathan departs for Thunder Bay. On Monday we head up to Coops house for the day with Ella, Inula and Saffron. Dennis and Jon will be home with the rest. It will be so nice to get out. Looking forward to Shelley and Al's in August in Grand Bend.

No more photos. I am spent.

Anne he feels wonderful too. I am proud of me. hahahahahaha I am so picky that its rare that I look and go - I like that! I did that with Coops and when you said you liked it - bonus! It took a long time but it was well worth it! Cooper will have less weight to carry around. :-)

Congratulations to Ella once again. Well done sweetie!
And Cooper you are delightful looking!

Do you use thinning shears? Does the hair tangle more when it has been thinned? That just might be what my Katie needs. Her hair is lovely after a bath but looks something like Coops before thinning.

Mabel is home and she looks wonderful!! Thank you Darlah for looking after her even when you were so busy. It is greatly appreciated!
Cooper looks lovely ... He is such a handsome guy :)
Congratulations to Ella too!
Thank you again.

Darlah, I sent the pic of Coop and the hair to our groomer in Huntsville. She was amazed and can't wait to see him. She was very impressed and thought he looks so good!

Cooper looks fabulous, as always, but looks like he will be much more comfortable. And, Ella, you are amazing. Just a few more points to go, you beauty. Not only is she beautiful, she is such a lovely dog to boot.

can you make me a dog wig out of Coops unused hair, my dog is positively bald by comparison.
He looks fantastic.

Cooper looks amazing ! I've met him and know how big his coat is. I don't know how Anne copes with it ! My Rebekka also looks bald in comparison.

Maureen, Russell does most of the daily brushing and combing which only takes 5 - 10 minutes tops. I do the daily top knots.

Darlah, now that we are back home, and have been watching Cooper walk around, we are amazed at how his coat just flows. He looks the same and yet his coat sits so much better on him. Thank you to both you and Nathan for suggesting that we do this a few months back. Thanks to you for doing such a wonderful job. I know that it took many many hours to do this. At least, Coop was cooperating :-)

Jayne: I trimmed her up a tad. It was super human day. hahahaha

June 20, 2015 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Coop was great, Anne! Thank you for the generous tip - truly!

June 20, 2015 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Marilyne: No if done right it reduces tangles. I do not use thinning shears. I would end up with matting as it grows. I also do it wet. I had a lot of practice on Shoshi. :-0

You seem to have a lot of those super human days!! I don't know how you do it.
She looks so good!! Thank you again.
I hope you are enjoying a well deserved relaxing day by the pool with your good friends. xo

Thank you Jayne. It was fun. It was a pure pleasure to have Mabel. Just love her!

June 20, 2015 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Anne blame it on Shoshi. I test everything on her and with such a thick coat she helped me get the result I wanted by trying different methods as if she was my test case and she was.
