Busy Day
Tiny came for a play and bath. Lucky boy is off to Montreal tomorrow!
He played up a storm today.
We got to take Danielle home today. Our daughter being a city gal doesn't hve a car. They transit it. They figured out most of her issues was an issue with morphine. She will have nursing care for a few weeks and hopefully won't go back in. She's not dealing with the esthetics all that well. It will take time.
I am exhausted from Danielle, errands, grooming and Kat barking like a maniac as gals are in heat. I want to kill him - not literally but I wish he acted like Truffie. Truffie just whines under his breath and won't eat. It's trying.
Leti and Adele need a bath and trim up terribly. Maybe tomorrow and maybe tomorrow we get to use the pool. It no longer smells like chemicals. Tomorrow is class though so we shall see.
Here is a photo of Teddy at the picnic. Isn't he a beauty? So many beautiful dogs at the picnic.
Caught myself nodding off in the car. I must be tired.

No surprise you're tired! All the dogs look so adorable. Glad Danielle finally got to go home and that they figured out what the problem was. The adjustment is hard for anyone but so much harder given her young age. She''s fortunate to have such a strong support system in all of you.
I visited with Teddy and his parents at the picnic. He was very happy nestled in his Dad's lap the whole time. You are right, he really is a beauty.
So glad to hear Danielle is home. Wishing her all the best.
Happy to hear Danielle is home. The adjustment period will take time. Hopefully there are resources to help. It will be especially difficult for a young person.
Hopefully Dusty will be able to make a visit to cheer her up.
My new dog walker felt one of the dogs she walks looked like Murphy and it turns out it's Reggie! Murphy's not ready for group walks but it's wonderful they'll be together. Are they related?
Yes they are related. They both have Kat and Risa behind them. We have Reggie with his packmates walking - amazing photos. The dog walking on a regular basis has made him such a well balanced dog. Small world.
Thanks! Danielle needs to get well body and mind. It's a hard leap for her at the moment. On top of it all - the pain she is in etc and the lack of pain meds she can take as it seems she is allergic, she is embarrassed about having an ostomy bag. At 14 its a tough one. Saying things like I would rather be dead than this is tough on us all. Hoping she makes the leap.
That's so hard, Darlah. My heart goes out to you, Danielle, and the rest of your family. I hope she begins to feel better soon.
Poor darling, Danielle. Major surgery alone can bring on a major depressive episode besides what she is dealing with physically. Poor soul. At least depression is most often self limiting. Let's hope she heals in all ways soon for all of you.
After they test the colon completely they will know if she has to stay on biologicals to try to prevent disease in areas remaining. As her entire colon was diseased she is not out of the woods yet but we hope this gives her relief and she adjusts. She has been on a high dosage of prednisone for 3 years. Hoping they can wean her off that. She also can't take any pain meds except tylenol as she appears to be allergic to every one that they tried. Wish I could post the photo of her colon - all 25 feet of it and how diseased it was but she doesn't want it shared. She will be okay. She just doesn't want her friends to see it. She's worrying about emptying at school - all silly stuff in the scheme of things but real for her. Kids at 14 can be mean. She will find ways to make it work. I think this process would be easier if she wasn't dealing with friends, a boyfriend etc and simply telling her that real friends would be supportive is not sufficient for her. She has always had a positive mindset even when in pain. Oh and she is miffed that she can never have popcorn. :-) Looking forward to her getting past this and hoping other areas do not get diseased.
