Heh

Hope everyone had a grand holiday weekend. I just received this in mail. Ty was up at the cottage and this is the stance he took after a long weekend. :-)

Had a lot of grooming today. I look forward to chilling out after everyone departs. Roxie is so looking forward to warmer weather, no heat and swimming. Benji departs tonight. He will be missed.

Teddy found my lap and just fell asleep in it after hunt the noise game. I think we had some birds fluttering in the plants and well some thought this was a delightful game. No harm. No one caught. Just a seeking game. Rafi just plowed on through trying to lead the pack. heh

Here's  today's gallery.

Sharon, our pleasure. He's been such a wonderful addition. Now if it will just warm up we can try him in the pool.

That Ty is one relaxed dawgy. Spice always looks so regal in her photos - really a beautiful dog with such great stature! I wish there were names attached to all the photos, I'm getting confused with all the creams, apricots, sables ... I don't know - can't keep them straight.

Christine it takes a long long time to sort out the names. I have been working on it for 4 years . With the cream coloured females it is more difficult. I try to check the ears and the eyes. All the recent black and white puppies have me totally confused.

Maddie is easy (Panda pup - Clarities sister) as she was half and half. One side spots, one side not.

Our apricot gals are Roxie, Adele and Leti plus Ella. The sables go light and dark throughout their lives. Roxie and Adele are from Abigail. Leti is from Prague. Ella is from Roxie. In Leti you have to go back 7 generations to get black and whites. She almost has exclusively sables, creams and reds in her line. By using Muntuno we will pull the dark back in but that doesn't mean she will have a black and white. Black and whites are dominant but she almost has none. It depend on how the genes are pulled. As Leti has chocolate in her lines using her with Truffie may produce chocolates. Despite the dilution in her lines with so many sables, chocolates etc she retains very dark pigment.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I liked hearing about Leti's background.
