Real or Not

I was just discussing - is it real or is it not? I never stage photos except on the real odd occassion when asked. I prefer to capture life as it happens vs. what you want to happen or what you perceive as what people want to see. I worry about the next generation looking at photos as our generation has and taking for granted that these moments happened. Now we can remove people and much more. Some say it is artistic. Perhaps it is but we are so accepting of artistic change that we lose what is really real. I worry we are losing historical moments. Not that capturing dogs would be deemed historical but I want to say that really happened without me making it happened. Does that make sense?

The dogs move or they don't. They make a mess of their hair or I manage to capture them before they roll all over the place. 15 years from now I want to look back at Roxie sailing through the air with Ella by her side and remember that happened. My memories are apt to fade but the photos, good or bad will be my timeline of moments I captured.

I have nothing against artistic staging. I just miss the realism.

Here are today's photos.

Not many photos but its been a busy day.
