Sundays

After many years, I have decided that I am taking Sundays off. It means no grooming on Sundays. It is not unusual for people to drop off dogs for grooming 7 days a week. But I am going to embrace the idea that Sundays are my less work day. Sure if somone is going home and needs a bath or grooming then so be it (I will do them first thing so I have the rest of the day) but I am trying to not be so busy that I get lost in the equation.

With extra people in the house its a whole lot of adjusting now. Everyone has their schedules and we have always in the past worked around everyone, making exceptions constantly, but I need to be proactive for me.

Sounds like a biach but everyone deserves a day off. Can you imagine if you never had one off? I hope you understand and thank you in advance for your consideration.

Absolutely, Darlah! Working 7 days a week, especially for any extended time, is a little crazy. The work is always there, and people will bring it to you 24/7 if you are available to them. But they will also work around your schedule. You do so much for so many, Darlah, you need to include yourself in that equation. Nobody is going to take exception to that. And, if so they do, bad on them!

Darlah, this is great news. Stick to your guns. You need time to yourself and more than deserve it.

Everyone needs and should have a day to recharge and to enjoy their family and cuddle with the dogs. Maybe 'binge watch' programs you have missed.
Stick to it !

Darlah, one day is not enough. Working standards say two days a week or overtime. I agree with those who commented before me, you work too hard and deserve a day off. Even then, when you have puppies you do not get a day to yourself. It is okay to be a little selfish, especially to keep up your health. Nice to hear one of the puppies is getting along with the granddaughter. Having people move into your house with different expectations and emotional upsets is very hard. Went through it when my sister, her dog and my niece moved in with us after a divorce. Keep well and take some time for yourself.

Marilyne:

It is a process. I can't believe the adjustments - financially and physically. We will get there. Looking forward to the pool and swimming. Only 3 months to go. hahahaha
