Fun, Busy and Not So Fun
Muntuno was over for a bath. I wasn't up for it. You see last night Dennis moved the raised dog bowls in my office. I went to get a Tums and over the dish I went. I think I cried on the floor for 10 minutes while the dogs barked at me. I bruised and scraped my elbow, my wrists, my hip. my upper back and my ankle. My necl also hurts to turn. My hands are swollen I guess trying to break the fall. I have been on pain pills all day that have not helped so I am trying a gin and tonic super sized.
We also had Adele's son Oliver over (River's brother). It was planned weeks ago and due to the holiday rush coming up mid week we didn't cancel. I probably wasn't the best company but I tried. I did enjoy seeing them.
Chester also had a bath today as well. Nathan may be doing the 2 I have tomorrow and I just do the trimmimg and skipping our own. We will see what tomorrow brings. Today its not good.
Odin and Ty adored each other. Ty usually likes the younger dogs but this time he enjoyed Odin who is no longer a puppy.
I thought Nathan got photos of their interaction, I think they may have come out blurry. Nathan mumbles I have the wrong camera in the kitchen.
It's been a day but the dogs surely had a blast!

OMG how could this happen to you and especially at this time of year. I know it is never a good time but this is terrible you are usually so busy. I am so sorry you hurt yourself so badly. Are you sure nothing is sprained or broken. The Gin sounds like the best medicine. I wish I knew how to groom I would help you. Nathan looks like he can do a pretty good job. Did he do Muntuno? Hope tomorrow is a better day. Do you have Voltarin. The gel is great for muscle pain.
I did Muntuno, bath, clipping and blow dry. He did Scruffy and Pepper - combing out. Hope he did a good job. By the time I was done Muntuno I was toast painwise. Even cutting around his feet was a painful experience. I also had to do River as she had a guest - her brother. Nathan isn't as thorough as I am. But if he does it daily, he would get there. :-)
I also did Chester. It's been a long day and Chester's parents plane is late so I am still up trying to figure out if I can crawl into bed or not. Nathan is in bed. I need to be. I really slept so little last night as I would move and I was awake.
Darlah, take care of yourself! I hope your doggies gave you some kisses to make you feel better.
I really hope you're feeling better soon, Darlah, but that fall sounds like it's going to get worse before it starts to turn around. hope you have a deep soaker tub and all for that gin and tonic for the pain, but careful if the pain meds you're taking are tylenol - dangerous to mix with alcohol and many people don't know this).
Please let me know if I can help at all.
It was wonderful to see you and Nathan today! We're sorry you were in such pain! Didn't see your emails until after we had left you! Oliver crashed as soon as we got home, which wasn't until 6 pm, so he had a long day, lol! I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight, and start to feel better tomorrow. Hugs & Kisses from Oliver!
Our tai chi instructor says to rub raw ginger root around your painful joints and any bruising. He says it really works for him, from when he was small that's what his Mom did for him.
Hope you feel better soon, and yes Christine is so right please be careful pain killers and alcohol are dangerous when mixed.
Darlah, I really think you may have broken something. I broke both my fingers and my ankle exactly as you fell. My fingers were from trying to break my fall. Of course my fingers and my 2 toes they did nothing with but splint them but you are supposed to keep them stationary so they don't set crooked. I hope you start to feel a little better. I feel so sorry for you, take care our friend.
Darlah how are you feeling today ? Do you think an x-ray is required ?
Oh what a terrible fall ! Hope you feel better to-day but I know that often those kinds of injuries feel worse a couple of days after. It sounds like you may need medical attention !
Hope today is a better day, pain wise.
