Very Short Blog

Winston was here for his haircut (they prefer the short on the head) amd Murphy was also done. As soon as the blogs are done and I have eaten, I must take more pain pills and lay down. So short blogs.

Amy and Tenshi is visiting. Chester departed last night. Tenshi's dad and mom brought a wonderful floor elephant mat that the dogs adore! This trio has played and played and played!

Darlah, I do hope you are feeling better, but judging by your need for pain pills I guess you are not good. Have you seen any medics or doctors?
Please take care of yourself

Nothing is broken. I am just in a lot of pain due to bruising placements. Having to go up and down or groom or use my wrists have been incredibly difficult. It will pass. I am not getting much sleep as there is only one partial side that I can sleep on without hurting. Dogs walking up my body which I usually find delightful is too painful. I find I tense up to try to protect myself perhaps making it worse. The dogs don't understand though Roxie and Adele licked my bruises for a long time as if they thought that would make it better. Good news is I have neck movement again without a lot of pain. Now its just sore. I got into pjs last night and my top of my thigh, my hip and my top of my back was a mass of bruising. My wrists are not as swollen. So, I must be healing. I am just not there yet. Funny typing on certain fingers hurt.
Good news, other than doing Murphy and Winston, Nathan brushed out the visitors.

This was just a very hard fall. Still trying to figure out how I fell to give me bruises in the places I have them. I am just happy that this didn't happen on Thursday when the Christmas visitors rush begins. We remain busy for 3 weeks so lucky I am to have it happen now than then. Poor Nathan may crumble.

The elephant mat is grand and soft too. Would make a grand pillow for sleeping on a bed too for the dogs. I have not seen one but we love it! So many of you have asked where they can get one. So, I must ask. U may get a second one just for backup. The dogs LOVED it!

I also have to profusely thanks Sherry for dinner she brought when she picked up Murphy

Glad to hear you are feeling somewhat better although it doesn't sound great !! I thought at first the elephant was a Bearington Baby Belly Blanket. I sell the line in my store but have never carried the belly blanket. I checked my catalogue and it is similar but not the same. If anyone is looking and can't find the identical one, check any store carrying Bearington Baby for something similar. There are a number of different animals including an elephant, lamb, blue and pink dogs and a monkey.

From the top (not the trunk) to the base of the tail - not the end of the tail this measures 50 inches. Is a Bearington that large?

Thanks for the Bearington info... Get better soon Darlah!!

Darlah those are great pics. I am glad for the update. I was concerned that you had broken many bones. With all your bruises you are lucky nothing is broken. It will take time. Have you thought about trying the ginger root? It may work. It is just getting it I guess. Take care.

Darlah, I wish you a speedy recovery! Thank god no bones are broken.
I'm glad the pups love the elephant play mat. I got it at Costco. Let me get you a second one (if they are still available).

I will give you the money if you can get a second one. Thank you!!!

Su:

Great ideas. Hopefully my local Walmart has one. I wouldn't mind a small one for the pups inside the pen or in their sherpa bag.The larger one is grand for them to play with and snuggle with. I can see it as a fun bed for then to snuggle with on our ned or couch etc.

I'm not in the store to-day to check the bearington catalogue. I'll check tomorrow. Certainly their products are well made and durable.

On line Walmart has them, but delivery won't be until after Christmas now. They also have a cute cow one.
I will keep checking in the store near me to see if they get them in again.

Su:

I have a few of these from years past. The pups love them.

Doubt I will get out to Costco to see if this elephant is available at a different store. Have to see if the daughter is making a Costco run. Think she goes to the one in Markham.
