Two Updates Today

Think Cooper needs a freshen up or a bath. I have to laugh. He's never dirty till he comes here, I am sure. He just mucks it up so much. I only managed a few photos today. Been a day and that's all I will say.

Here's the gallery.

PS: Risa ADORES and I mean ADORES Trouble. Wait till you see some photos of them together in the Panda blog.

Beautiful pictures of Nathan and Risa. You can see Nathan's pain. My heart aches.

Sherry: That she is.

Risa is doing much better today. Not entirely. We stopped tylan powder so she has runny stools but no longer tar. That's good. She was jumping for her food, begging for treats. We shall see.

Well your post was reinforcing about the dangers of dropped pills. I have always been careful but now I am hyper vigilant. Here's fingers crossed for you that's all it was.

She's 14. I think I will lose her. Just not ready for it yet. Everyone is second guessing themselves. We are really extra careful but spilt milk on the couch, cookies, dishes, chocolate so we created a system that all pills stay downstairs or Nathan's stays upstairs in med cabinet no exception. Food is on the table and not left out. Dani since she has her bag she eats things that would burn your palate off or at least it does mine. You want what you can't have or couldn't have. Think they are used to mom cleaning after them and here they need to get into a system of cleaning after themselves. It's a tough transition for them. They have had so many changes in their lives.

No one else is sick even remotely so its probably she is ill. As I said, she is an old lady. Next old lady is Shoshi 12 going on 13 then Kat 10 going on 11. Years ago we said we would have a tough couple of years as we knew they were relatively close in age.

To never been ill and had excellent health throughout, I should be happy. Even if I lost her tomorrow, she has had a grand and full life deeply loved and adored. Just wish they lived forever or at least as long as we do.

Oh, Darlah, we all feel your pain. We've either been there or will some day. It is so incredibly hard. Our dogs are part of our family, And their lives much short than ours. You know I've experienced the closeness in age. It helped to hold on to the fact that both my boys led healthy and very happy lives and made it to 14 and 15. Hopefully you can find some comfort in this as well. You and Nathan have given Risa a wonderful life.
In trusting us with your beautiful Talemaker puppies, you have have created a kind of community that remains connected through dawgy visits and your blogs. I hope you are able to gain some strength from the circle of support and caring from this community that now surrounds you.
