Wet Day

Teddy and Raven

Only one blog today. Send me photos so I can update the other blogs. Chester is also here. You can see him on the gallery. Chester is Saffron's pup. What a ball of fun he is. He has been playing with everyone. He departs tomorrow. He will have a bath and so will Thyme before class. I wash Thyme every 2 weeks sometimes once a week just to get her used to the dryers and bath. Show dogs need clean hair to minimize any knots and I am practicing getting her to lay on her back for grooming. It's not working yet. I also need to give baths to the pups.

Tiny also departed today after his bath. He had a ton of fun today. Despite the wet and cold he managed to play and play!

Nathan and I also got out to eat at Milestones. Never again. The company was great. Paula and Tim was in before their departure to Florida. They leave their car here. The food was actually awful. I had a prime rib that actually had no seasoning on it. It also tasted like rubber - no lie. Paula got a glass of wine so I got a gin and tonic. I actually got a club soda and gin with not a trace of gin as far as I could tell. I didn't really drink it.

Went to Loblaws on the way home to get ground meat for the dogs and my tummy was saying you need to get home. The food was that good. Oh well... waste of $$.

I am actually gravely tired. Not sure why. I thought by now I would have caught up and recovered. I usually get a wonderful noodle dish for dinner and salad for the next day the night of classes from Noodle and Company. Nathan prefers A&W. So tomorrow it is A&W - joy. I do love the man. There is always next week.

Saffron is still in heat and no one else is. Everyone other than Inula is due anytime now.

Kat is driving us insane trying to get at Saffron and she is no better. 9 more days and she is done. Watch and then someone else will come in. My luck continues. My life - my fun.

A little behind, so first want to say how great Raven and Storm's names are (always so creative)!
I think you are burnt out and need some real down time - the time you were supposed to get last summer and then ended up with 2 house guests that had puppies and decided they liked the digs so much that they all camped out for a few months longer!
I hope you find some time now to enjoy your dogs, husband and anyone/thing else that brings you joy! ... of course, between all the grooming and everything else you do! 😊😉

Too bad the lunch food was not very good. I have heard that about Milestones.
They changed their menu format a couple years ago. I have not been back.
Great that you had good company with Tim and Paula.

I hope you have a chance to relax a little and enjoy your family room now that you have it back.

The food really was terrible.

Nathan is already setting up appts. I really need a break. Wish it was a summer break. :-)

I love your family room. It is so big and comfy looking. I hope you get time to enjoy it before the next litter.

Besides being sick it is so frustrating to go out for lunch and then the food is awful. Did you at least let them know? And to top it off you can have A&W tomorrow. Yum.

I hope you get a chance to relax and that the weather will be nicer than we are now having. I too love the names Raven and Storm.

I don't know how you do it all Darlah, I hope you get a break soon.

I was looking at the gallery, all picks on one page and it looks like pic 79 (Trouble I think) has her rear in pic 80 and she is a giant next to the pups. It made me smile.

Could I ask how you clean your dogs stuffed squeaky toys please.

Raven and Storm are great names for 2 gorgeous pups.

My hubby likes A&W too. I don't get it.

I hope you are able to take some time off to relax Darlah. I'm sure your body needs time to recover after your busy, busy schedule. You take great care of our pets when they stay with you & you are amazing raising the pups. I hope you are able to take some time for yourself.

Milestones in Etobicoke near the airport. Paula was flying out to Florida so we lookid for a place closer so we could spend more time chatting without fretting about getting to teh airport on time. As it is they got there early.

A&W is really a place I only eat at as he desires it so. I think the food is lousy. But relationships are built on doing things you don't necessarily love at times. I may skip eating tonight and just come home to eating something from the fridge.

Su:

I put them in the washer. I air dry them or put them on a low setting in the dryer on a rack.

Ronnie: Yes the room is so spacious. Got to clear out my desk and minimize so I have room on the other end which you can't see. I am in declutter mode but Nathan is not giving me enough time to declutter.

We've had dinner at the Richmond Hill Milestones several times and it's usually pretty good. (The chicken with mushroom sauce is our favourite.) One time the service was very slow, and they gave us a free dessert.. Another time, the food was not hot enough; we spoke to the manager, and she apologized, and made an adjustment on the bill. I had prime rib one time, and it was OK--not terrible, just a bit tough, not as good as at the Keg (where I find the prime rib to be consistently excellent).

Bob:

We had a dog club specialty dinner at this Milestones a year ago. It was decent. This time was terrible. We didn't complain but should have.
