Oh My

I had everyone brushed so they headed outside and yes this is what they looked like after combing them all out. Today I have chills so this sight is not laughable. It's oh my gad now what? I was fine this morning but this afternoon I have chills and a fever. The throat is scratchy and I am not finishing the front room nor the grooming tools. I will get there.

Dennis did take them upstairs to play and run so I didn't have even more work. See the gallery.

Last night Murphy and Saffron slept with Dennis in his room. Saffron is still in heat and this gave her company. It made them both happy as they were spoiled silly.

Dolly was falling asleep sitting up after a full day of play. I took her in the recliner with Teddy and we all rested. Nathan was taking a nap with a few others. They have so much fun that they get really tired. We make sure they get their naps. Teddy finds laps exceptional.

The pups also take naps a number of times a day. Can you tell Stormy is chillin? What is interesting the past couple of days is Raven has become mighty comfie telling Stormy 'enough' and she does need that at times. Raven is really coming into herself.

But we have a problem. Stormy is relentless when it comes to chewing shoes. So, I am on the hunt for a closed shoe rack that will fit maybe 4 shoes at the back door. She seems to get so much glee from chewing and I am reminded she 'is' teething but you chew on treats and toys. We will see how it unfolds but if you see an enclosed shoe rack, please send me the info. It's on our list to buy yesterday if not sooner.

Here is an ADORABLE collection of photos of Zoey!

As I am sick - no other blogs and I may find a couch. About now I really need one or a bed or...

I really can't be sick.

Oh my that is a great pose of Stormy's..... very recognizable LOL. Marco likes pulling on the bedding... duvet, bedskirt... I say NO in my BIG MAN voice and he stops.... until next time... LOL. He's been so good on his pee pad... maybe 3 mistakes in a week and 2 of those were poops! He seems to know it's for peep but not sure it's for poops!! oh my. I hope you don't get sick Darlah but it sounds like what Bill's been fighting since Tuesday. REST REST REST

He knows better but I am told Creamy gal is having an issue with poo. Not sure why as they were mostly great here. Just have to stay consistent.

Sorry.... It will get better!

OH no, I'm thoroughly impressed!! Every time he peeps it's an EVENT, lots of praise, woo hoo, good boy and a teensy sliver of treat (not always). He loves this so much that today I 'missed' a pee so he quietly sat by the pad until I saw what he'd done and I could react accordingly LOL. SMART or what??

YES, I find this crew very smart. Good one for doing what you do with him.

temps after fever reducers 101.4. I need to be in bed but now I have to convince everyone else.

January 21, 2017 | Registered CommenterDarlah

YES, you need to be in bed and take care of yourself ... better yet, they should all be taking care of you. Nasty, nasty viruses going around right now so really important to take heed. Grab a doggie for warmth and hunker down for the night.
LOVE the pick of Storm (Farley sleeps like that, once so tired he fell asleep on his back with one leg straight up to the sky ... went to get the camera and that woke him up enough that the leg went down).
VERY adorable pics of Zoey!

Sweet pictures of Zoey.. I see she has a 'Lamb Chop' stuffy. Kona loved his.

Watching to see what signals the pups give off before they poop can 'sometimes' give you enough time to encourage them to move to the pad. It takes time and studying their signals. But the pups are super smart.

Raven and Storm Chillin is so cute.

Darlah it sounds like you have caught an ugly bug. The only thing that works is tea and honey for your throat and lots of rest. I know rest is hard to fit into your crammed schedule.

Darlah, calling in sick for a few days is a great idea. Nathan and Dennis are capable to hold down the fort.

As for your close shoe rack: I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for. What about something like this: http://m.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/art/90248426/

Patricia: When Tenshi came home, she missed the pad a few times. The last 2 times, I knew she did it on purpose to test the limit. So we did what you did, praise like crazy when she pooed in the right spot. Still now, once in a while we still praise her for that. Mind you she likes to poo outside now if she can.

Lucky Murphy and Saffron! Sounds like they got special treatment.
You need lots of TLC and I hope you get better quickly.

Darlah you know my remedy-chicken soup and rest. It is so hard to do the rest part though. Hope you are in bed by now.

Loved the picture of the muddy paw dogs. Rusty is really mucky when he comes in but oh so happy.

I agree that praise is a wonderful way to train. These little ones appear to be amazingly smart and really they are babies. So it takes time. beautiful pictures of Zoey Raven and Storm. Love them all. Makes you melt.

Great pictures Darlah!
Zoey is a little doll - just love that sweet face!
Get some must needed bed rest - Hope you feel better soon.

Great pics Darlah. Please take care of yourself. That is a pretty high temp if you already took temp meds. Don't let this turn into pneumonia.
