Pups and the Adults

It's supposed to snow but I am not seeing it. The dogs are managing to have fun. Dolly was caught playing tug with Stormy. I also caught Raven snuggling with Teddy and Teddy allowing it. At first he thought they were gremlins especially that Stormy thing as she is pretty persistent. Now a snuggle feels good.

I am not sure why but Stormy prefers a higher water dish that she barely can drink from. We change water and clean bowls many times a day. It's important to always have fresh water. Our steel water dishes have a cooling core in them to keep the water cold. They are called Frosty Bowlz. We love them as they have cold water no matter what the weather is and they keep things cool from morning till bedtime.

Here is today's gallery.

The dogs are rather enjoying each other. We will snap when we can. They will nap when they can and we will play and then chill again. Such is a life of a dawg - fun!!

Be sure to look at Saffron's blog for class videos and a gallery.

Yes, we had photos of Truff drinking from that dish like that.

How adorable. I wonder whether Rusty would prefer a high dish. He doesn't drink very much during the day and I sometimes worry. I try to entice him to drink by wetting my fingers and he licks them. He does drink when he is thirsty though. And he does pee so maybe I worry too much?

Hi Ronnie,

My two don't seem to drink a lot either. But, I assume it is because they are smaller dogs and only need a certain amount of water. Like you say, they certainly drink when they have been exercising as in after a walk or a full out play session.

I also worried when clarity didn't appear to be drinking much ... I've learned to relax about it all. Each dog is different, you learn what "their norm is", and that is your baseline for determining when & if you should be concerned. Hav down the street only eats very healthy home cooked food. She eats very little, usually once a day, by choice. Humans were concerned but vet says dog is very healthy and good weight. This hav will likely never be over weight as only eats what she needs. I know some humans like this ... I hate them (kidding). My dogs would eat all day if they could - so would I ;)

My hav may drink about half hour after eating kibble or mostly at night. Pup drinks about 250ml a day when it's hot (heating on or summer) and a bit less in the cold times.
The Vet said that this was ok. Then I did worry when she started to drink a bit more and we had her urine tested to make sure no infection etc. She is ok.
When she was younger I worried cause she didn't drink much at all and eats kibble.
Need to stop worrying.
Christine is right we need to relax.

The dogs drink a lot here but they expel so much energy that they get thirsty. The more you exercise the more you drink.
