Snow and Trip

The game

The chase

Flying Trouble

The face plant

We had a long day today and we are in the midst of playing recovery. Did take photos but seeing that Daisy escaped downstairs with the grand daughter, I didn't get any of her. She likes going downstairs with Dani as it makes her feel special.

We had a great trip yesterday. The party was a success. We took photos and video and had some great memories.

This is dad who turned 87 with his glasses that say F&ck Cancer. He has a great attitude. He made us laugh. The banter back and forth was amazing. Then we got in the car to drive back. We stopped and got Wayne's famous egg rolls  on our way out of town. Wish they were local. Snow was light but ice was great. There were too many trucks on the road and a LOT of accidents including one where someone was waving to stop and slow down - yes a guy was doing that in the middle of the freeway. The jaws of life truck was out and so were many fire trucks. We made it home just before midnight. Tracy who left 15 minutes after us arrived home at 130am. It was a long day.

Dennis said the dogs were quiet. The house didn't have noise pollution with tvs on. He liked it despite being sick. He slept till 130pm today.

We played retrieve outside, chase, hide and seek and had a terrible amount of pure fun today and now Nathan is taking a nap. Driving was so bad so he drove both ways - well he insisted on it.

Here is today's gallery.

I must admit I need a nap too. It's snowing again and those not having a nap with Nathan will come out and play with me. No more photos. I am heading out to have fun without having to click.

Glad we made this trip as it truly made Dad's day and us too!

Nothing like fresh snow for a great outdoor play and face planting. Love the photos of Nathan surrounded by all the dogs. Great gallery. So happy that you guys had a great visit with Nathan's dad. Despite having cancer, he doesn't look 87. Good for him for having a great attitude. He must have been so happy to be surrounded by his family.

Glad to hear it was a happy and enjoyable visit for everyone.
Anne you are right Nathan's Dad looks great. Attitude is helpful.

Many of the dogs appear to be airborne. Love to see them enjoying themselves in the 'white stuff.'

Glad it all turned out well. Very scary driving in those conditions.
LOVE the face plant. Murphy does that all the time and it makes me laugh so.

I really love the pictures of Inula when she is running and all her hair is windswept. She is a beauty.

Nathan's and your Dad really looked happy surrounded by his family in the Facebook pics. Wow, 87, great!

Driving in bad weather is so stressful, hope you all recover soon. And, hope you are fully over the flu you had.

The pics of the dawgs are fantastic, Darlah.

Still congested and still getting out phlegm but I am functional now - hooray!! Dennis is sick but functioning. For whatever reason it hit me the worse. Hope that's my one illness this year and no more for 2017.

Ernie still has his sense of humor. He is all bones though. Unfortunately his tumor grew significantly. 4 years ago they gave him 6 months and his tumor shrunk with treatment. Unfortunately for whatever reason, it is no longer the case.

Driving was really slippery and even the trucks were pulling over. We got to drive the 412 and the section of the 407 for free. It is now pay as of midnight last night.

Leti doesn't usually do the face plant. Risa is our master on that.

Ernie was ecstatic that we made it in. You see we rarely can these days as we have the dogs or pups but this was important. His choice of Mandarin food - yuck but he wants to do 6 month birthdays so I said if we do its at Waynes (best chinese food ever) plus they have pu pu platters. :-)

LOVE Ernie's glasses - such a wonderful attitude - such a wonderful loving family - thanks for sharing these heart-warming moments - these are the things we should be celebrating!

(I wonder if taking a train would be easier when the weather is poor - but you've probably already considered that)

Flying Trouble - what fun!

Nathan's dad looks great! It looks like you captured a really joyful moment. So glad you were able to make

I love the glasses. What a wonderful attitude and having birthdays every six months will work for your Dad but I rather have them every other year. Oh well. What a blessing to all be together and celebrate good things. Chinese food at Wayne's sounds delicious. When you go back encourage him to open a chain in Toronto. Yum!

I hate driving on the highway when it snows and it sounds like it was so stressful. OMG. Glad you are safe and enjoying the dawgs. Love the face plant. Rusty gets them often and then I plant a kiss on the snow face. Hope Dennis gets better quickly and I do hope that you have had your fill for 2017.
