Another... Really?

Are you really taking ANOTHER photo? Here are a few photos I managed to take.

Dusty and Dolly departed. Cooper and Murphy arrived. We want snow around here. Can we get some? They say rain tomorrow.

Ella is almost 2.5 years old. When she comes into heat she will have her first litter. I am excited about her puppies.

We are trying out an expensive shampoo and conditioner and well it works magic on damaged coats and protects coats in good condition and oh my does the coat feel good.

But why wash? Well, I was playing catch up after being sick but with rain coming, I will be questioning my sanity.

Everyone is playing and soon we will be doing draping tv time? What is that? The dogs drape themselves all over us and we all watch tv. We look forward to it!

Wow so many beautiful coats. Nice to see Copper again. With all the light coloured coats it is hard to tell who is who. Thanks for identifying Ella, she is such a beauty.

Thanks darlah, I thought that was spice . I swear , talemakevhas the prettiest havanese ever. I was stopped near the market on the weekend for Stella. An older lady is looking for a havanese, I think she was sold on talemaker. Who wouldn't be.

Wish I could send you some snow !!!! We have had non stop snow for at least a week in Muskoka. Yesterday I dug out the back corner of the fence where the snow had covered it over entirely and that fence is 4 feet high !! The only reason the dogs didn't get out is because they couldn't navigate the deep snow.

Wow Murphy played with everybody today! Love the picture of her with Inula.
In the picture of Spice I can see that Murphy inherited her mom's eyes.

Darlah, if you don't mind me asking, what is the name of the new shampoo and conditioner you use?
Also where do you get your OMG grooming spray?

February 6, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterSylvia

I'm with Sylvia. What's the name of the new shampoo and conditioner? And I love the OMG grooming spray too. Where do you get yours?

February 7, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterMary & Ollie

Mary & Sylvia: I looked everywhere when Murphy was a puppy (not even 2 years ago) and the only place I could find it was online through Blue Stallion Sharpening. It is Plush Puppy OMG Concentrate. It was very expensive but is a concentrate so will likely last Murphy's entire life!! You might want to split it because it is a lot of product.

I was able to feel Stone and Cinnamon's coat after Darlah used the new products yesterday...wow, their coats felt really good. And such a nice smell too :-)

Sherry: thank you very much for the info. Blue stallion is based in the USA, I'm wondering if there's something based in Canada. If I can, I don't feel like dealing with duties and expensive shipping fees. Anyone bought anything from this?

They are in Canada, distributor for plush puppy.

February 7, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterSylvia

Plush Puppy is available here. Or from here.

The shampoo, conditioner I bought is VERY expensive. It is called Black Passion from Iv San Bernard. You can find it here. I did initially buy it with the argan oil but I find only on damaged coats do you need to add a few drops.

February 7, 2017 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Yes, I have bought from them but we usually get it from the dog shows. Though I think the people who used to carry it no longer sell anything and I haven't seen it at the dog shows lately. It's the best grooming spray. I buy the concentrate. 1 to 2 cupfuls in a spray bottle will do. It is more cost effective.

That is TWO Caps not CUP

February 7, 2017 | Registered CommenterDarlah

That Wasabi line has such licky, I am so excited mouths and expressive eyes.

February 7, 2017 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Maureen: The dogs want tunnels and paths.

February 7, 2017 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Thank you Darlah for the info. So the Canada distributor is legit, perfect! Mary, do you want me to order some for you?
I actually thought of putting the Argan oil I use for my hair on Tenshi hair, didn't know if it was any good for the dogs. She has such static hair she looks like a silly dog. Maybe I can splurge a bit in the shampoo and conditioner and use it once in a while... The things you do for your pups...amazing!

I cannot wait to receive the Black Passion shampoo and conditioner(mask). Ines and I thank you so much Darlah. Much appreciated.

Ella is so pretty. I’m excited to see her pups. I’m also looking forward to becoming a pet parent.

February 7, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterSheron Bailey

Murphy actually looks like she's smiling when she's excited. Now I know where she gets it!

February 7, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterSherry & Murphy

Sylvia: I tried a variety of high end argan oils in a variety of high end shampoos and conditioners. It doesn't work the same to my frustration as I find Black passion too expensive. It must be the combination. You can also use the Black Passion on your own hair. Though its more expensive than we spend on our own hair.

What I did find is on broken coat the addition of 5 drops of the argan oil protected the coat from damage. Iv San Bernard has always had high end shampoo and conditioner and some I do not like. But it is all moderate to expensive. I have used a variety of products here and there.

I also use Reinforce drops that I add to conditioner that whitens white coats and deepens blacks. Yes, it does the same. The issue with these drops is they will stain your hands temporarily. So I add it to some conditioners I really like to boost the whites. They also have colours to boost golds etc. It saves me from buying whitening shampoos etc that don't boost as much.

Now most of this high end is due to maintaining 'show coats' but pets do not need it. I just tend to indulge the dogs vs myself and I mean that literally. I usually wash my dogs when I am not sick every 2 weeks but the Black Passion for some is going on 3 weeks and its still looking good.

You can get into the crazy world of trying this or that and I don't suggest anyone does it. I have some great quality shampoos and conditioners that are not as expensive. I won't use Black Passion on anyone's dogs that I groom unless they pay extra as its too expensive. I did try it on most of my dogs to see what it does with a variety of coats from cottony to silky. I did it so I know what it works on and what it would be a waste on. I do that with any new shampoo and conditioner. So far all coats seem to feel better with Black Passion which is unusual.

Next I am going to try is Cristal Clean but I know someone who bought it that wants to sell it at half price as she is no longer showing. I look for these deals. I have to to be honest.

February 7, 2017 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Thanks for the product information.

February 7, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterKathy & Kona

Yes, she does smile. I find the Wasabi line happy, happy, happy and it is great to see the Saffron and Spice pups the same. They are also mighty agile.

February 7, 2017 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Oh yes Darlah, we have plenty of paths in the snow near the house where it is safe but have to keep digging out the deep snow at the back end of the fence that gets buried because on a day like to-day after yesterday's ice storm, the dogs could run on top of the crusted snow and right over top of the fence. It is so frustrating but it is called life in Muskoka !!

February 8, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterMaureen

Farley is a Spice pup. He has what I call the perpetual puppy personality that will stay with him for life. He bounces when he plays. He is INCREDIBLY agile, running up, down and all around my backyard. Over rocks, under shrubs and through tight spaces, teasing the heck out of Clarity who is faster, but only in open areas. Sooner or later she catches him, but only after she steps back, assess, and then strategies his next move.

It must be so fun to see Clarity and Farley play together!
