To Pump or Not

We have taken the water off the pool twice now. As you will see in the photos, it's back. It is not green so it means the water under it most likely is not. We shall see when they take the cover off next week. The dogs are LOVING The running play.

Here is today's gallery.

It is rare that we have water sitting like this as they do take the water down a significant amount on closing to avoid this. It tells you we had a lot of rain this winter. Shall I pump again? We shall see.

The mix of dogs is absolutely wonderful. They truly are all play monkeys including Teddy. He dances he gets so excited.

I washed all the crate inserts, all the blankets and as they dried, I took them out and pit them in their spots. Don't tell me dogs do not appreciate clean, warm blankets. They just snuggle right in. Usually I do blankets a few here and there. Today I decided to blitz the couches, the crates etc. I am ever so thankful for having a large dryer. Things go much quicker these days. I can even do a down king size comforter and not have to shake it, rotate it etc. It's the little things like this that we so appreciate but don't know it till you have it.

Still no heat on. Nathan is being frugal. I need to find socks. Dogs do not mind a bit. Why do I?

Great photos as always. Funny, today I also did all the blankets, humans and doggies. Nice and clean and Coops was quick to settle on the clean bedspread.

Darlah I am so glad you have a big dryer. I remember when you had to put the dryer on for two cycles. I think Nathan and Sam got the same notice from Power Stream. Although we have not shut off our heat (heaven forbid) we are now watching the clock before we turn on the dishwasher or dryer. A little frustrating. I think I would have to move out if we shut the heat off. I walked Rusty tonight in my winter coat. Believe it.

Ronnie:

We were putting the comforters (down filled) for 3 or 4 cycles and having to take it out continually to beat it to distribute the down. This dryer is a HUGE difference. We have a large washer too. I was a slave to the washer and dryer. Now I just complain as they are in my grooming room and who gets stuck moving it along and folding.

This morning I woke up wanting a blanket on as I sat at the table. It is a tad ridiculous but this morning Nathan too was cold and said maybe we should turn it back in, I said nah Sunday is supposed to be warm. hahahahah I am not sure we are saving $$ but this all started as Nathan saw $$ signs with the pool opening. He will also delay the air conditioning till its unbearable and I am telling him I am sleeping outside as it is cooler.

I get the trying to save $$ but if you are miserable or the pool water is not warm enough that you will use it, what is the sense. Looking at the weather all the way through May 6th its not going to be warm. Is that depressing or what! I may get the long johns out - oops have to buy myself some.

Anne:

Hope you have a large washer and dryer too. To me it is a luxury that I deserve!

Darlah, I do, and it makes for washing and drying blankets so easy.

Our dryer is a 9.5 cu. foot and it barely fit through the doorway. I will never buy a smaller one ever again. I didn't realize they had ones that size as my last one was 7.5. We were considering a commercial one but they were too pricey and not as large. Even though we now have had it for awhile, I still sing its praises. Silly but I get so excited about doing down comforters that are king size. Our daughter has a washer and dryer with half the size of ours. She says it is NOT fun. Maybe I will see her more when she has to do her blankets. heh
