Swimming 2017

Sorry - we just took Moxie, Ella, the 2 pups and Cinnamon swimming. No one else was interested and we went and tried with each. Plus I am still recovering from pups so combing out every single dog that swims is on me so I feel bad that the warm weather is over for a bit. WE have a summer though and there will be more opportunities.

Here is the gallery.

In the gallery you will see a basket that I got at Lee Valley. I use it in my laundry tub to clean feet. You see if the dogs stand in the sink the water wicks up the legs and the hair stays soaked. By putting them, in this basket the feet drain when you wash and you get damp vs soaked. Damp allows faster drying time or as I have been doing with Roxie, I have been leaving them damp and they are just slightly damp. It has saved me so much time and it fits in my laundry tub easily and its easy on the dog's feet. I like it so much that I will buy another in a different colour just to make sure I have a backup if this one breaks.

It was a very hot day. We spent a lot of time trading off with time outdoors. Meaning we alternated responsibility for Roxie and the pups. I also had a few groomings today so I was juggling. Even though the pups are doing well, I tend to watch them on my video to make sure everyone is good.

We just had a big rain and no one wanted to go out after it. They don't realize how comfie it is. I have fans on, windows open and hope for a more comfortable sleep for all of us. Ever have high heat and dogs snuggling with you?

Well, that's my life!!

Surprised Murphy didn't want to go in the pool.
I'm assuming you use a sprayer with the basket.
I have to use the bath tub so she actually stands in water.

It is so funny to see the dogs sunbathing. Love the photos. I am sure it is hot with all the dogs cuddling. But how great is that cuddle.

Pic 220 is too funny!
Pups seem to be doing quite well in the pool although I have to laugh at pic 242 - looks like Raven I got out of the pool, turned around and stuck her tongue out at Nathan.
Finally got a swim in around 9 a it was luxurious!

So much fun to see the dogs with Nathan in the pool. I love the pictures after they are wet and the play that they do after swimming. Like they feel refreshed by the pool and now have energy to spare. Love the pictures of my wet Moxie. I think her colouring is continuing to change as she becomes more silver and spotted. Love it. I am not sure if that is her in pic 220 but that picture is so funny. Can't believe it was caught as the dog was in mid-air. Thanks for keeping me connected to my girl. Still missing her, but I know I will see her soon.

MaryLou, that's exactly what happens ... they get out of the water fully energized and in crazy play mode!

What a great start to the swimming season, love to see Nathan with the pups in the pool. Great shots and yes, photo 220 is too funny.

Sherry: You could use this in the tub. I can show you it when you are here.

I thought it was funny that Murphy didn't want to go in but this was after we had our chase Nathan game. Most were very tired. Moxie cut everyone off at the pass so she was running less. She would wait then pounce.

MaryLou - oh yes that was Moxie.

Oh yes Raven stuck her tongue out at Nathan a few times. It was as if she was saying - are you joking!
