We Can Still Have Fun

Doesn't matter that it is wet. We can still have fun and that we do! You will look at these photos and I brushed everyone today. They do not look like it in the least. It is impossible. We also still do not have our heat on and well I have layers on but the dogs do not care. It's my bare feet on the floor that gives me chills. I am determined now not to put it on just because. It is supposed to be warm - isn't it?

Here is today's gallery of the motley messy crew.

Interesting enough our tv room is toasty and that's the room that has a ton of blankets that the dogs love to dig in and get quite cosy in. They all seem to have their favourite spots. Nathan says they are his blankets.

Oh, and with this rain Moxie is going out and is fine with it. I guess after days and days of this lovely rain, you either embrace or you stay inside. We do go out between the rain falling.

Poor Murphy leaned over to drink the water in the pool and fell in. Yes, and that pool water was cold. So off she went inside and got warm towels on her and the blow dryers going. Got her all dried and don't you know she was trying it again and I screamed - NO! She stopped and I swear she smiled at me.

One would think that I do not have water down cause why is she trying to drink from the pool? But I place down 8 bowls - yes 8 bowls - 4 in the kitchen, 2 in the tv room, 1 in the hallway and 1 in my office. We change them all throughout the day. Not that they need that many but I believe in them having access to water always. Plus we use bowls that keep the water cold. They appreciate it.

Dogs have been having a great time. Tomorrow Harper, Scruffy and Pepper depart. At least they will go home clean.

Great gallery, nice to see Scruffy and Pepper. Love the photos of Mickey and Nathan, so heartwarming. I also believe in fresh water all the time, we have bowls all over the house, changed throughout the day. It's actually amazing to see how dirty the inside of the bowls get from the saliva. The things you learn along the way :-)

I keep waiting for Farley to fall in the pool. He runs like heck around the yard and pool area just nipping the edge ... one day it'll happen, just wait and see.
Question, when they are chasing each other like crazy around my yard, they are whipping around the armour stone and running up and down stone steps like there's no tomorrow. I cringe thinking one day they aren't going to make that curve or step and crash head first into the boulders. Do these types of accidents ever happen or am I worried for nothing?

They do happen so you just pick them out and act as nothing is wrong if the water is cold or if it is warm use it as a way to direct them out. We are always out with the dogs. We use Frostybowlz to keep the water cold. See Frostybowlz I have to buy a few more.

I know it wasn't fun for you but sorry Darlah I couldn't stop laughing reading about Murphy's antics. She LOVES water...sticks her entire head in the shower when I'm in there.

Christine: last year Murphy was chasing some dogs around the Talemaker pool and sure enough she misjudged the corner and landed in the water!

I'm not worried about them falling in the pool, the water is soft and I can just pluck them out. It's the huge armour stone retaining wall that I'm afraid they will crash in to.

This weather is going the wrong way. We are heading to summer aren't we??? I was in my winter coat today walking Rusty. Flooding all over Canada. Frightening really. Love the pics. And the Frostyboowlz!

Great pictures of all of the dogs. It is great to see Moxie at play - and you are right, Darlah, she does love to play. The dogs are all so beautiful. I love the picture of the group sitting on the steps of the deck. They look so regal. Thanks for sharing these wonderful moments with us, Darlah. Still missing the Moxster!
