Look who dropped in - Anne and Russell. Spicy is going to take the journey tomorrow to Montreal with them to follow a different journey that they can give her. It was a very, very hard decision but when it's about them it is easier. I always imagined Spice living here forever. Spice is a wonderful dog who loves everyone with her waggy, waggy tail and kisses. I will miss her kisses and her wriggles but knowing she is getting that extra special attention - well it's about her not us.
She is also mega agile and she runs with grace. It's hard to explain but we look forward to hearing about her journey and having her visit when they go on holidays.
We have had so many changes from Trouble to Sadie (Thyme) to now Spice. Do not ask about Roxie, please. She will remain. Why? Well no one has asked yet so don't. :-)
I should have taken video of Anne running with Spice and marvelling at how very fast she is. She is so fast she can catch a squirrel but she will never do anything when she does grab the tail. She just wants to know she can.
So please wish Anne, Russell, Cooper and Spice a safe journey tomorrow morning. We love this couple and the fit is right, I believe.
On another note, Tenshi departs tomorrow, Levon and Trigger departed today. Magic came for the day and kept digging at the ice in the water that I placed her beard hair up and still she soaked herself. It was funny.

Congratulation Anne and Russell. Spicey is a beauty and I'm happy she is going to have a wonderful life with you. Darlah, I feel for you, but I know she would only go to the perfect home. It's so unselfish of you and shows how much you love her and all the dogs.
Aww that is so beautiful! What a wonderful family, so happy for everyone. A difficult decision, but you and Nathan always put the dogs first and you will have many wonderful visits. I'm already looking forward to the great pictures that Anne and Russel send.

I'm sad, I will miss her, I always felt a connection with Spicy, and of course, she Farley's mamma.
But also happy for Anne, Russell and the Coop. Any chance they'll be at the BBQ?

I vowed I wouldn't cry but it happens - happy for her - happy for Cooper and Anne and Russell. Look forward to seeing how happy she is on her new journey. One has to remind themselves that its not about us - it's about them. Even if it rains I may swim anyways. Glad my morning is crazy busy with grooming.
Oh wow!!! That is huge!!! Huge congrats to Spice's new family. She is such a lovely pup and I am so happy that she makes up a part of our sweet Sadie. I'm also really happy that I got to see her when I was there a few weeks ago and look in to those amazingly beautiful eyes of hers. I'm sure Ann and Russell know how lucky they are. Darlah, I think I would shed tears whenever one would leave, even knowing that it was all good. I'm also happy for you and Nathan knowing that she will come back for visits. What a surprise !!!! Huge congrats to Anne, Russell and the Coop !! They are the only members of the Talemaker family that I have met since they used to live in Muskoka and drop into my store to visit. I know that Spice couldn't have a better family and I am so happy for them ! I also know how hard it is for you Darlah but she will have a wonderful life and I'm sure you know that too.
Thanks to everyone for the best wishes. We couldn't be happier. Our family is now complete. Spicy is a sweetheart, inside and out. We love her to pieces, as we do the Coop. You can look forward to lots of pics down the road!
OMG, the one day I didn't get to read the blog until the day after and missed one of the biggest and best news items of the year. Darlah, it must be so very hard but you and Nathan so think of the dogs. I am ecstatic for Anne, Russell and Cooper. Nothing better than having two Talemaker Havanese imho. Spice has left such a legacy with the many Talemaker puppies she has welcomed to the world. Those of us who are lucky enough to have a Spice pup know the wonderful wiggly tail moves and run-like-hell play that Spice has infused in her litters. I will miss seeing Spice on the blogs, and my heart goes out to you, Darlah and Nathan, as I know how much Spice has meant to you both over the years. Saying this, as others have said, you always put the dogs first, and Anne's family is perfect fit for Spice. Anne, congratulations on the newest member of your family. What a lucky dog and a lucky family.
