Let Me In

It was a hot day today with hotter weather coming tomorrow. No swimming today as we had other things to do. Many went home so I had grooming to do but we still managed to play retreive and hide and seek and find the treat. We had a fun day.

See the gallery.

Also, we have a picnic date and I hope all of you can come. Nathan will send mail but mark your calendar for August 19, 2017. Details are on this site in the right hand column. We picked this date so the puppies that will be going home will have had another shot and can come. This will be the last picnic at this location so I do so hope you can come. All you need is your dog, a chair and a food dish to share.

I received a photo of Sadie sporting her new haircut. She has a groomer in Brampton that does Marlee that Sadie went to. I am posting so you can see that black ticking that Ms. Murphy also has. This is how it would look short.

Talking about Sadie, I can now reveal that Saffron each night waited downstairs looking for her to come to bed. It was a rather sad state of affairs but Tenshi arrived and Saffron always played with Sadie more. Now Tenshi is Saffron's everything. Tenshi will be here while her parents go on holidays so this is exciting for us as they play amazing together. Tenshi's mom got to see how excited Saffron was. I am glad that we get to see Tenshi often as it seems Saffron really cares about her babies. We will get to see Sadie but not often so Amy and Tenshi will fill her must see the kids feelings.

This is a must process as we could have not kept any from the litter but when the kids hang around they get extra close. It's wonderful watching Tenshi and Saffron. What a great momma Saffron is.

More tomorrow!

So interesting to see what the ticking looks like short. I love the effect on Murphy's long hair.

Darlah Rusty is home looking for all his friends. He had a wonderful time and I can't thank you enough for giving me peace of mind and a place where Rusty is loved. BTW you gave Rusty a brush out this time as he had just had his bath not too long ago. Well I brush him "almost" everyday and his coat never looks so nice. Thank you. apparently there is an amazing brush for dogs that my friend's daughter said works wonders. She works at a vet clinic and they use the brush. I am going to get the name. Apparently it brushes thick hair very easily. I will let you know and sorry I don't have the name of the brush.

I didn't get in the pool either today! CRAZY considering how warm it was.
Got the picnic in my calendar! Can't wait as loved it two years ago when I went. This time I'll have two doggies!

Sadly can't make the trip out for the picnic this year. I'll be heading out to vacation in Scotland and Ireland that week. Tre sends his love and we will look forward to pictures. My three will be staying at home and their fav Aunty moving in to look after them .

Oh, I am so happy about the picnic. I missed it last year and we will have 2 doggies too. Radar and Patches will be in their glory!

Sadie looks like Patches with the cut she has now but with more ticking. In fact, Patches has a lot more black growing into her coat than she ever has had. When I look at her skin where the black hair is it is dark and for her white hair she has pink skin. Looks like by looking at her skin she will have more and more black coming in.

So interesting but also sad to hear how attached Saffron is to her babies ! I could just picture her waiting for Sadie. Somehow I've always been drawn to Saffron and this makes her even more endearing.
Ronnie, I will be interested to hear about that brush as well. Might work for my double coated dogs too.

Sherry: Yes, find the draping of ticking very nice.

Long or short hair…..Sadie is totally adorable, with a personality to match. It must be so hard for the moms when their babies leave. Poor Saffron, missing Sadie. So happy she now has Tenshi to focus on. Sure sounds like Saffron is a totally devoted mom to her pups. That must be a big contributor to her pups being so wonderful. Saffron and Sadie are sure to have a great time playing when Sadie and Marlee visit again in just a little over a month.

Patt:

I agree. Her personality and her adorability matches. She's a special gal.

Look forward to the visit, Patt!

It makes my heart content that Tenshi can bring some happiness to Saffron. I was napping on my flight and I was dreaming about Tenshi. I guess I miss her so, my unconscious cannot lie!
