Georgi's Last Bath

She was everything good about the bath. No complaints. No shivers. She didn't even mind Nathan holding her up for photos. She was an excellent gal.

She cleans up nicely. 

Nathan said really now before my shower. LOL Got to love him but he did. Yesterday Dennis helped me, as Nathan's hip was so bad. Today slightly better with heat.

Glad it is semi better with Quinn's pickup. I so looked for his cane but couldn't find it. Next week doctor.

So Ms Georgi is a real character that will be missed!

Quinn's Last Bath

Here is the bath gallery.

Quinn is departing tomorrow. To say he was a class act in the bath is an understatement. Ah a spa day - how cool is that!

He has a long drive. It will be his 1st in a car. It will be good conditioning and he will look around and within 2 to 3 days, he will learn that this is his new journey, new home, new everything with someone who adores him. 

He cleans up nicely too - wet or dry such a character. He is going to be missed.

I hardly took videos but did take a few. This happens at times.

Can I Go Play?

This is Winston saying is it possible to make a break for it? LOL He was greeting me this way this morning.

Pups are now eating eight 1/4cups of food 3 times a day. The more they play, the faster they eat. LOL

People are asking for vet visit timing. Pups have had their 1st vaccine on the 2nd. If you are doing classes, you need to get vaccines 3 weeks from October 2nd. Max time you can wait is 4 weeks or you have to start the whole series over and that would be silly. So, you should be making appointments now so you don't get your vet saying we do not have any openings. 

Be sure to get on your floor to see what your puppy can see. You need to make it safe for the pup. That means cords etc Be aware for plants that may be poison. They need to be up. 

It is going to be a fun journey with blips. All pups - children have blips. Be consistent. You are going to fall madly and deeply for your little one.

Upstairs Fun Was Had

These pups had two meals with turkey on top of their food and they acted as if we gave them the very best thing in the world. I laughed. They ate it so fast.

Pups played their hearts out. They have had 3 play sessions today and soon they will have their last.

Correction Time

This is mustache. Her name is Georgi. She departs on the 16th. Quinn is departing on the 15th. 

I am busy trying to get things ready but far from there but will be. I do a little each day.

Today I spent a lot of time correcting the dogs from chewing on my feet. I want them to stop before they head home so I am working on it in a huge way. 

What you do with the pups early on will set habits and you do want to set the correct habits. This will continue in your home. 

These are great pups and all pups go through teething. Soon they will have all their teeth till they fall out yet again and they will have 1 more teething experience but chew toys and teething treats will help.

Play Play

Think I got it on videos but mustache gal was playing with this toy preoccupying herself. She was having the best of times. I just laughed!

It is cooler weather. They say frost tonight so blogs must be done and orchids needs to be taken in. So a quick update.

They ran. They played and had a grand time twice already. I did notice that some are using the pads pretty consistently. Bravo, little ones!

It has been raining and I have been busy so Dennis had a play session. I had a play session and Dennis will do another tonight. I need to start prepping for making stuff for pups to depart. So please understand if I am late. They are not forgotten. I just have extra work to do.

Pups had a ton of fun playing up a storm. They found stuffing in a toy and oh boy. Out went that toy. 

Nami is done feeding entirely. Hallie wants to be. Poor moms so try to say NO! They are getting better at getting the little ones to understand.

Picks Plus an Upstairs Gallery

Here is an indoor gallery taken today.

Nathan will be sending out mail tonight on puppy selection. It wasn't easy but hoping everyone will be happy. Too many wanted all the same dogs - yikes. You can blame me as I am the finalizer and he puts in his choices and gives me reasons for them. I made the last choices based on what I feel was the best for the puppy. I watched videos till I was blind. Looked at photos before I decided what works for each puppy. I like to give everyone their 1st choice but if I did that, we didn't have enough girls. I would have to make one family wait. Gender really shouldn't be an issue but people tend to get stuck on that. 

So, Nathan is napping. I need to take puppies outside. We need to go to Fortinos (allows us to talk about the choices - as we take this serious)  (got to buy turkey for Thanksgiving and all before sold out). When we return home, he will look over my last chart and agree or not he will finalize everything. 

This was a truly tough one. 

There are NO losers here folks. These are 2 oustanding litters and that is an understatement. They really are a grand bunch of pups. At the end of the day, you are going to fall deeply in love with the pup you get. It will happen.

Last Crowd Day

Pups are now just waking up. I finished the next dog I had to groom and trying to get some blogs done ahead of time so maybe we can watch tv before the mad rush. 

The pups are getting used to humans coming maybe means I get out to play with them. There is a method to our madness. Exposures in a positive manner helps them have a great start. They have had a lot of those and we also bring pups out to say hello when boarders are dropped off. We do this so they feel comfortable and realize this is fun. 

We also do the vet here so your 1st experience at the vet doesn't get you a memory of - oh my this again. Yes, of course they will have this eventually but you will be the 1st to take them into your vet for their 2nd vaccines. They must have the 2nd before class.

What an amazing journey they are about to embark on.

Visits

Here is the gallery. The gallery is both visits - morn and afternoon and to see which was morning and afternoon, you will see a photo of a blanket separating them.

The photo above is our grand daughter Sarah and her boyfriend Thomas that came after the visits. The pups were so tired that we only brought out a couple and they were rather sluggish but they are on their way to Japan and wanted to see the pups before they depart tomorrow.

We have another visit tomorrow.

Spreading the Joy

Nami has spent a great deal of time with all her pups getting them to be all they are meant to be. She teaches through playing. She played with all pups a great deal today. It helps that the pups still want to feed from her but mostly are not. This gives her the ability to teach vs oh no they have teeth and they want to feed again.

None of the pups were sore after the vaccines and microchips. Sometimes they are due to them moving when giving them but it goes away in a day or 2. I have had pups extremely sore due to movement or size of the pup. They do not understand the soreness but it does go away. This bodes well for you when they get their 2nd shots 3 to 4 weeks max from yesterday. They can't start classes till after they have their 2nd vaccines. I am telling you this so you can make your vet appointments and class dates. 

The pups are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and Sunday.

She was short in vaccines so she is coming back today to give the vaccination to the Brindle gal.

Complete checkup - see Hallie's blog. Everyone is in excellent health - no issues.

They will have their 2nd deworming after your visit in case it creates loose stools. It didn't the 1st treatment but not taking chances. This is a preventative. We do it so you won't have to when you get their 2nd shots. Fecal is clear. 

Girls rule as not a peep from them but the boys were not happy with the microchip insertion but the vaccinations all pups did not react.

We will see if they get sore tonight but I suspect they won't.

Next thing to occur is Saturday's visit. Then puppy selection/assignment and all the things I must do before they go home. It is a very busy time.

Tuesday Puppy Visit

We had our last visit till Saturday and then the puppy selection, names etc will begin. Start thinking names. :-)
