Happy New 2024 Year

The gallery can be found on Sage's blog.

They are finally starting to get this toy. Misty was the 1st to bang that bottle to knock out the tresta, They watched and went oh... It has been a long while since the adults have played with the bottle toy. You can also do this by taking an empty water bottle without the top. Place some treats in and they can bat it around till the treats fall out. Some people take old socks and tie it around an empty bottle so they can create a crinkle sound. Just throw out the bottle when it starts to show wear and use a new one. There are so many economical toy ideas. You can spend a ton of money and they may not like it. Wet an old cloth. Tie knots in it and throw it in the freezer. It will be soothing to them while they are teething.

So many ideas to keep them busy. Of course all the mind toys where you hide treats work too and are quite durable.

The pups are having a great time today.

Puppy Visit

Here is the gallery for both sets of pups.

I believe it was a success and everyone enjoyed each other. It was the 1st time pups were in the kitchen as we have boarders with us through the New Year. We had a couple of pups that had accidents as it was a new room and several that found the pads. Bravo little ones.

They slept till 315pm. I think that was a great nap and now they are heading upstairs with Dennis.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

Oh the Play

Here is the gallery with both litters.

The play has become more physical but not in a bad way - rather a fun way. They are perfecting their skills.

They are truly a fun bunch.

Tomorrow they will have a visit with families to be and Sage's pups. It is the 1st time we are doing a combo visit as not everyone is here - holidays and all. Then I may fall in the recliner and nap.

It should be a fun and exciting time for the humans.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

Playing Upstairs

The gallery can be found on Sage's blog.

Pups are now on day 3 of no food upstairs at night. They both sleep for the most part. I have a visual camera on them with motion sensors so I can see what they are doing. I tend to watch and of course if the motion sensor goes off, it wakes me up and I must look. Usually when that happens it is simply a pup walking to the pad to go and then go back to sleep. Their bladdesr are small but they do sleep the entire night from 10pm till 630-7am. We do that so you have it easier and they have it easier.

Their new family being happy with them makes for a puppy that is happy, you that is happy and us. It's why we do this.

Play and Play: 8 Weeks 3 Days Old

Nami pups joined the Sage puppy Visit. You can see the gallery of that portion plus the 10 upstairs. Videos are already up.

Pups got to join the Sage puppy visit and they also went up - all 10 to play upstairs after their nap. I got the pleasure of playing with them.

I have a ton of grooming tomorrow so I am not sure about how many videos or photos I will be able to take. We shall see. Today they have had an enermous time to expel energy.

What I have noticed is they have stepped up their physical play but still they are not doing the might is right. They are truly great pups.

Yesterday Dennis put 1 Nami pup in Sage's pen and one Sage in Nami's pen. I was grooming and kept hearing them cry. I went to look and I said Dennis wrong pups in pen. He said which. I said the 2 crying. LOL Guess they are used to being with their siblings. It was funny to see. We are creatures of habits and so are they.

8 Weeks 2 Days Old

Here is the gallery with BOTH litters.

Pups were out together this morning with me. They are about to go out again and need to eat.

The puppies - well this litter had NO food last night. They ate all of their breakfast in one swoop. We may have to give them 1/4c each vs 4/4 total. That boy above may need 1/3c as he is active and always hungry.

Everyone survived the deworming. No loose stools this time for this crew. Hooray!

Pups are enjoying.

8 Weeks 1 Day Old

The gallery of BOTH litters is found on Sage blog.

The pups had their 2nd deworming. They had loose stools the 1st time. We shall see what this time brings. They will have 1 more before they depart. That is 3 dewormings before departure.

The pups are great. They have stopped eating at night for the most part. Tonight we will remove the food but leave water to help them to stop that night feeding when they go to you. They will be hungry in the morning. That is what they should be. No food at night means a full night sleep. That is the goal before departure.

Pups are having a blast upstairs as I type.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

Milestone Times

See the gallery on Sage's blog.

This crew has reached the age of 8 weeks. How did that happen?

We had a little blip. Due to holidays, the vet can't come till they are 10 weeks so they will be departing right after that. Sage's pups will be done when they are 8 weeks. The last of our visitors will be departing soon after.

Dennis also managed to have an oops with Cinnamon - not our plan but with one connection we hoped she wasn't pregnant. She is. Life has its own plans at times and she is due when these pups go home. Oh boy... Life has been eventful lately. All I can say is at least it wasn't me responsible for the ooops. I would hear about it from then till next year. I am a bit more gracious about mistakes as I know they happen. But happy people to get hers.

So, you will have to let us know - send mail to Nathan on what pickup day you desire. It has to be after the 9th as that is the day for the vet visit. We only have 4 departing and we know which one is remaining here. She is the long body (desired for pups) with the black on her back. They are all magnificent pups. They all have fun personalities. The boy is not in the equation as he is going to someone that has been waiting for 4 years and matches well with the existing dog. The rest that are available are gals minus the one that remains. Out of all of them, the cream and brown is the most independent. She entertains herself but really all personalities are amazing and I do not say that lightly. Sage's pups are too. They are above the curve on abilities. Cinnamon's pups will be happy go lucky pups. They just are and this is her very last litter. That litter will start going home in March around the 19th on. Then we take a break. We need it seriously after Alanza etc. It has been tough.

So Merry Christmas - Happy Kwanzaa and happy everything you celebrate.

The pups had an outstanding 2 play sessions thus far. I am about to upload the videos.

All Together Now

Here is the gallery of Nami and Sage's Pups Playing Together.

They had a lot of fun this morning and are about to go out again shorthly but they are back napping.

They do play so well together. This is nice. Eventually the Nami pups may get too physical with the Sage pups being younger and all but they have not yet.

This crew slept all night and didn't eat during the night where the Sage pups still eat during the night. This is an age thing. The Sage pups will get there too.

Both sets of pups are eating hard Fromm's kibble now with a sprinkle of chicken in. They had ground up prime rib roast yesterday as a treat and no one had loose bowels. Sometimes the change introduces that till their system gets used to it. They are more than fine.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

Insight

Gallery of both litters can be found on the Sage blog.

It is interesting watching the personalities. The quietest most independent is the cream gal up above. She can entertain herself for hours. I find that fascinating.

More times than not they hit the pad now. They also sleep through the night and interesting enough Sage's do too as they have the Nami pups to copy.

Pups have had 2 very long play sessions and will have 2 more today but no camera for the last 2.

The pups have had a great day so far.

Just Nami and All Together Then

Just the Nami Gallery.

We have 2 galleries today in this blog and another one in the Sage blog. I did each litter then you will see this gallery of them all together now. Hope I got them all right. It's hard. But you get to see all the photos I took today of the 2 crew.

They had a blast and so far they are really playing well together. It benefits both crew if they do for their capabilities, nurturing and skills.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

Both Together

As I had a heavy grooming day, I wasn't able to take out the pups litter by litter so they were all together. So far they are still doing well together. In this gallery you will see BOTH litters together.

See if you can tell them apart.

We did put harden kibble with chicken down for the Nami pups and Mousse for the Sage pups. It appeared as if the Sage pups preferred Nami's puppy food and Nami's pups prefered Sage's. I think it is called, we like what we don't have syndrome. It also seems that the Sage's pups can eat the harden kibble.

Nami's pen upstairs was divided last night and Sage's pups were on one side and Nami's on the other. It all worked well.

You would think that it is less work to put them upstairs but really not. You clean the 2 downstairs pens emptying out everything and sterilizing and during the morning you clean the pens upstairs. Lots of laundry is part of the equation as everything in the pen gets washed. Throughout the day you do lots of laundry.

For now, the pups desite the 2 weeks between them do play nicely together.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

Playing Upstairs Fun

Here is the gallery.

The Nami pups at this timeframe lasts longer than the Sage crew. That is because with age comes more time up. This crew is full of beans and they are running up and down the ramp and even the slide. That progressed fast.

They love the tunnel that is in the circle and even jump on top of it.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

First Upstairs

Here is the gallery.

I may have the galleries messed up but they may be right - they may be wrong. LOL

The Nami crew had their 1st visit upstairs. How did they do? Magnificent but they have been going upstairs to sleep for quite a bit of time. They just hadn't played in the hall.

We have had long play sessions and I have had the pleasure of playing with them.

Now they are in for a long nap. That is what occurs when they play hard.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

Play is Fun

Here is the gallery.

I know less photos and videos but I am busy playing catchup. Sorry about that but you should be able to see how they are doing and what they are accomplishing. They are a fun crew!

I had a wonderful play session today with them and they will come out a few more times today.

They are quiet now till morning at 650amish when they want to come downstairs.

Yesterday they had their family visit. Today they are simply just playing.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.
