The chase is on. Any mom will do. We have cut them down to a couple of times a day but had to go back to 3 as Willow was too engorged. But Stormy just ignores and keeps walking. It is time to wean guys!
Blogs are short. I have 3 demattings to do between today and tomorrow so no pool - short blogs. Hope you understand.

Every single day this puppy makes me laugh. He runs for you, kisses you, snuggles with you. The way he plays makes me laugh. I wish I had 1 less person getting a puppy this time just so he could remain. He has been the 1st in everything. That is not to take away from his siblings. They are all happy, happy puppies. First born always crawls into my lap and his 2 sisters well sensational personalities. I know I am biased but it is true.
Interesting enough they started gaining like crazy but their weight gains have leveled off. That's what happened last time when everyone thought they will be big but they ended up average size - all smaller than mom by far.
The pups enjoy outside. We need the grass to dry so we can share that experience with them.
We had our grandkids over last night - social distancing and all. No hugs for grandpa for his birthday but laughter and an ice cream cake.
Pups enjoyed the extra people and it is interesting as they had not seen them yet. It was good to see how they react to a perceived stranger. Good one - little ones!

The pups have been trying out our ramp. I will be uploading videos so you can see how they did.
The pups have been experiencing all sorts of new things and we will continue to do so. Grass maybe soon?

I have to say creamy is the life of the party no matter where he goes. Not just saying that but pay attention to his play. I laugh 40 times a day just watching him.
Sure they all play but he is the guy that gets everyone going. It's nice. He reminds me so much of Stormy. If he was a girl, I would be crying as I would want him to stay. LOL
Pups have had 2 play sessions. They are sleeping and when they get up they will have a 3rd. See how they graduated to 3 so fast? But play turns into sleep and that's what they do going outdoors.

What a funny bug hunter you are. The Stormy pups - well put it this way I so wish we could keep 1. They have her personality and no matter how big they look at the moment, they stop growing early on.
They have some of the prettiest faces around and they arer real people lovers.

I can already see the moms feeding less often. Some pups are crazy in the morning and go after moms like they are a bat descending on its prey but not these guys. Oh mom, you are here. Can I please eat now? Or mom shall we play first or??
The pups were outside last night for the 1st time while it was dark. We try to think of things they need to experience so its natural for them. They played their hearts out.
Got to love this crew!

The pups are getting more athletic and you will see it in the galleries. Here is a gallery of them playing outside wet after their bath. Some of them were a bit cold - especially the smaller ones as Dennis didn't towel dry them well enough but the sun took over and they were more than fine. We couldn't bring them back inside wet as we have the air on. So, they actually stayed out longer than usual.
Nathan got his swim in and I stayed and combed and dried them off.
They smell so good.
These pups are doing ever so well with all these firsts. Now to upload the videos. It's almost bedtime. LOL

When you get several litters together, they soon treat each other as siblings and best of pals. It's interesting. Many many years ago when we first started we used to keep them separate in the thought that they would bond to their siblings. They were always curious but not bonded as we see today. When we started putting them together at 4 weeks or so, we saw deep relationships develop and found it was a positive thing. The more siblings one has the more you have to deal with personalities making them a more rounded puppy. Too many benefits to doing it this way but I bet you get confused as to who belongs to whom.
We're finding it too hot for the puppies so we had several play sessions today. We are only holding the early one outside. By the time it cools off, it's time for bed.
Pups have really made the leap of playing wherever we bring them. They are truly wonderful pups!

We were only able to take the pups out once today. I simply had too much grooming and the heat was unbearble for pups this size. We are going to take them upstairs to play in the hallway for another 1st tonight.
Lety's see if I am it for entertaining them or me being entertained. I personally wish I was in the pool but can't miss a first!

This boy is the largest. He may slim down as he gets more active but he is the most low key pup of the crew. He eats - oh he loves to eat. He plays and explores and is always the first to just chill, watch or snooze. He is a cuddly friendly thing but he's not a party hearty type pf a guy.He has rich colours that will remain.
Some of the pups are jockeying for position in the pack and that changes as the weeks goes on. It's all natural. So far, he could care less. Give me food. Give me love and let me sleep. LOL
Where Creamy or shall we call him Tsunami after the Storm theme loves to play, highly social and curious. They are all so different but similar.
We had a great morning. I am busy putting up curtains on the lower deck gazebo so they are shaded on their afternoon romps. When I have the time, I will do the upper deck or then again - maybe not. I may just put up the netting on the upper deck so I can eat without bug control.

I have to say I love this boy. He's too smart for his own good. He already has the sherpa bag thing down. When he was done, he went over to the bags and kept climbing up. I want to go in - NOW! He wasn't bad about it. He was communicating.

Rain is supposed to come tomorrow. I need that swimming window. We shall see what we get. Will we still take the dogs out under the gazebo if it is raining for some conditioning? It depends on how big the storm is and if it is electrical.

The pups go out twice in a day, at this point of time. Here is the afternoon gallery.
Smart puppies. They wanted to stay in the shade as I still have to wash the curtains to give them shade.
They are eating and drinking well so we suspect by early next week they will be upstairs at night.
If it stays this hot, I want to put a plant saucer out there to allow them to walk through that. Wouldn't that be fun?
Now to test teh air and finish uploading the videos. I have some really fun ones!

Pups were out twice today. Second time they didn't last long as it was actually hot outside. Inside they are regulated - now at 70f - 21c so outside got up to 75f - 23c which does not sound like a big deal but the sun was bright. I need to find the curtains so we can get shade in the late afternoon, early evening. When they had their morning romp, it was cooler and they were more active.
Next week, if it rains, we will have to try upstairs. The goal is to get them used to as many places as possible in a positive way.
We shall see what the weather brings us. :-)
leti was outside messy as ever but so excited to see the pups. She can't come in yet as they are too young but oh boy they were excited to see her too!

We have the first - outside and inside and eating and drinking. How did they do? Wonderful. they all ate. They didn't all drink. They all finally explored. I call this highly successful.
Here is the gallery - only 1 each day now ok two today and thus the confusion begins on figuring out what puppy belongs to which Momma.

First born's personality is really getting to be mighty interesting. It will be fun to see them eating and be outside. Not sure how we can feed 15 at once so I suppose we will do one group at a time then merge the 3 together. We had planned to do it today but it didn't work out. Tomorrow!
One more day and this crew will be 4 weeks old.
We have been in discussions about the 6 and 8 week visits and we still dont know what can and can't be done and in what form. We are frustrated as we know for at least the 8 week visit we need to see the families with the pups and they need to see you. Right now gatherings of more than 5 people are not allowed. Pups can't do 15 individual visits as they will be exhausted - so will we. I know many of you are asking. We have time to figure out the limitations we have to work under. Pups may have to get used to masks as we do have some immune compromised folks. Oh, thank you Covid for this. Stay tuned.

They eat, they play and then they sleep. Sometimes I manage to get videos and others not so much. There are days life is just too busy but we have cameras so even if I am grooming, I am watching them on my ipad.
In a few days we are going to try them on food.

There is a series of photos in the gallery of these 2 playing. It is really cute considering they are just over 3 weeks old.
As I am typing the creamy boy is batting his paw through the pen at the Willows pups. It's way cute but I am behind on getting things up. There are so many moments missed on video. But we manage to catch some. then I have to edit rge rare one as Nathan says something - funny but well can't go prime time. Such as today telling a boy and a girl apart. He was being funny as he alawys is.
They all play. Mr. Creamy tends to be playful and curious but they all are to some degree. I have to laugh at her crew as they crawl all over her and she doesn't mind a bit. They all need baths this week - 1 here and there. Moms that is - too young for pups.
Got many fun videos up tonight as they are really starting to play.

We are a land of characters, I tell you. This boy got to go out and look around and so he did. Soon they will all be playing on the deck together.Today only in my hands.
They eat, they play and then they sleep. Each day that goes by they play a bit more. They are all doing so well.
I love how their ears flap down now. I love the waggy tails and I can't wait to introduce them to each other. Food, socializing.... enjoyable stuff!

Now the Stormy crew are starting to use the pad on their own - at least 2. Good one - little ones.
They do play rather well together. I call this the huge snuggling crew. Oh the others do too but they snuggle into you real close. Their tails wag a mile a minute when you come to say hello!
