At 2 weeks old the larger gal has 1 eye open and sometimes she opens the other. It's a riot. Yes, they act independent.

Two weeks - hmm and I wonder when the other 2 will open their eyes. Exciting times coming.
It's been a long day. I am milti-tasking in a club meeting and blogging and I have things to do before bed.
I am not seeing signs of eyes opening and Sage's did have theirs open by now but they were early. Soon it will happen...
Pups are getting fat with one over a pound and 2 edging up to it.
Mommy, I think I ate the whole thing. Look how round I am.
They want for nothing. Spirit is her usual attentive self.
I didn't get to comb out the mothers yet. After blogs or tomorrow morning. I need to get ready for pups departing so I think it will be tomorrow morning. Not my usual but it is what it is.
This is the 2 girls from the Spirit crew. If you notice, the smallest is playing catchup with her sister. The boy not pictured here who has always ate and ate is now finally slowing down. He was gaining about an ounce and a half to 2 ounces daily. Now he is gaining less. The girls hold their own now in retaining their spot.
I still believe the littlest will be the littlest. Time will tell as she is shorter in length but she has determination and loves when I snuggle her. She has shown me personality from the start.
Pups are doing well. I make a point of holding each so they get used to it.
When the older pups depart, this crew will be just turning 3 weeks old and Sage's will be turning 4 weeks. As these 2 crews are 7 days apart, we will have to wait till they are 3.5 and 4.5 days old to attempt to put them together. On the 20th we will have them in the xpen the older pups are in with a divider down the middle so they can touch and look at each other.
These 2 crews will swim before they depart as we are so trying to get a heater. The older crew will have to come back and visit so they can have their turn.
Pups have reached the 10day mark. This is a no grooming day across the board. It's my semi day off. Still got blogs. Still have laundry, changing pens, feeding moms but a semi day off. No water dishes ir cleaning the older guys pens tonight. Dennis will do that so I do not have to.
What can I say about this crew? They are growing, beautiful and well thriving with Momma Spirit.
Momma Spirit had some special treats that I made yesterday. She is impressed. LOL
