Retiring the Blog

As Adele lives with our daughter but visits us often, I am thinking of retiring this blog. I can continue anything Adele in the main blog. What do you think?

Finn Update

Hi Nathan / Darlah,

Just wanted to let you know that we took Finn for his vet visit on Saturday and he did well, no complaining, he is 2 kg now.  We got 3 shots, the vet said that they did not have the parainfluenza shot.  Is that a concern?

Lucky Finn, there is a pet store right next to the vet and we got him a new coat.

Bailey was very calm & had a good visit!  No reaction to needle.

Bailey's New Family and Departure

I can't believe the last Adele puppy departed today. They truly were an outstanding bunch of characters. bailey's human mom to be is rther sick with this awful flu that is going around so she was not able to come. Plus catching the flu is not high on my list of things I most desire. ROFL. I feel bad for his mom.

This is Bailey on his way home. He has a big drive. We hope it's a good trip. Now we are left with just the Jeannie duo and of course Leti's crew.

Bailey's Last Bath

Bailey had his last bath before departure tomorrow. He is such a handsome guy! After tomorrow I will only update this blog when someone sends me new things. I already have a few things from their new families to share. 

To me, it is rather sad but then again we are happy for the families. We are also happy that they are on a grand adventure.

How did he do? Great but blow dryers - not a word but look at his expressions in the gallery. 

He is indeed ready to go home. I say that as he plays with Jeannie's 2 but he really wants to play with the adults and older crew. I think he thinks he's older than he is. It is also harder on us the extra few days as we tend to focus so much on them that we bond even more so. It is a crazy process. But he departs tomorrow. 

Adele will also go back to our daughter's house to be our grand daughter's therapy dog and she will continue to visit us several times a week. Not the same but we will adjust. Life is forever fluid and well you realize that with the pups. They enrich you so much and then their journey begins.

I already miss this crew!

Bailey Update

Bailey rather enjoyed the snow first thing this morning. The trio are meshing. It's obvious that sometimes Bailey bowls them over but last night they were full out playing and you will see it in the videos I am uploading.

We are going to try to get them out again this afternoon. We shall see but I am trying to do blogs early so I am not going from early morning till just before bedtime.

Bonnie's New Family

She has arrived home and looks happy to be there. We got a video of her playing with her toy. Bravo, little one.

Bailey remains as the last Adele pup. I am keen to see how he interacts with the Jeannie duo when it is just him. We will have 3 days to watch it unfold. For now he appears to be sad. I guess he is missing the siblings and Jeannie's crew is sticking to each other. Hoping that all changes.

3 Updates Today: Bonnie's Last Bath

This is Bonnie's last bath. I have to say she did not like the blow dryers. I was laughing at her as she had so much attitude. No, I do not want that air in my face nor on my butt.
