5 Beauties

Click on Photo for larger view5 pups, 3 girls 2 boys all brown sables with a couple with white.

I just got home from the vet. Have not eaten. I have to focus on Adele but pups are well. Adele seems to be better too though we still have a site for an iv. We took blood and did a fecal test (extensive $200) one. No oversized. We think she was stressed. We will know more tomorrow. She whelped all naturally. I missed the 1st as she didn't know it was coming. No pretty photos as I was on the floor of the vets whelping with my daughter Tracy keeping me company. It's been a VERY long day. I will play catch up.

Here is what I did manage to get that isn't on the phone. Those will come later.

1st pup a boy white and brown sable 5.5oz born at 6am

2nd pup a girl strip around neck brown sable 5.5oz born at 6:45am

3rd pup a boy brown sable (no markings surfaced yet) 6.0 oz born at 10:17am

4th pup a girl slight white on chest brown sable 5.5oz born at 10:21am

5th pup a girl brown sable no markings surfaced yet brown sable 6oz born at 12:17pm

What a relief! Beautiful pups and Adele looks good, although tired no doubt, like the rest of you. Just glad all is good and everyone is healthy. Thanks for letting us know.

Congratulations! The pups are adorable. I hope Adele recovers quickly now that the pups are born. It's great she whelped naturally.

OMG, I am so happy to hear from you and what gorgeous puppies. So happy that Adele had nature births and that she is ok. I am sure you are exhausted but I am sure relieved. I was so, so worried.

The pups are really beautiful.

Such wonderful news !! Hope Adele feels progressively better now that the pups are here. What a relief !

I was so worried in a huge way. It was interesting whelping a litter by myself on a vet floor. Yes the daughter was with me but it was me who whelped them.

We will see what test results say tomorrow.

I assume Adele and puppies are home now with you? Which one was the big puppy? Looks like two were 6 ounces? Where was the Vet?

November 7, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterRonnie

How wonderful, they look gorgeous. I hope you are ok Darlah because I know you aren't well on top of this worry. Can't wait to hear and see more. Congratulations on 5 beautiful pups.

Five precious puppies and Adele is looking so much better. Hugs to everyone at Talemaker!

Surprise none were huge. Seems she has a shadow of some sort in her ultrasound. Vet was out euthanizing a dog that was screaming. It was horrid and it stressed poor Adele out and it also didn't do wonders for these humans. I guess she figured I didn't need her. They did deliver blankets and gave an antibiotic shot and gave her a cleanout shot to bring milk down as she didn't have milk. That happens at times and with her being sick it happens more. They took fecal that I collected - fun not and a blood test. Test results tomorrow on how to proceed but I think she is better and better being home and monitored. She is certainly happy to be home in a huge way!

So happy to hear that Adele and her 5 babies are all home.
It sounds like you and Tracy had a very stressful day.

The normal delivery team is Nathan & Darlah.
You must be exhausted. My thoughts and prayers are with al involved.
Hope dear Adele will feel better soon.

Congratulations! I'm so glad all went well. I'm breathing a big sigh of relief as I'm typing...The pups are beautiful (but of course we all knew they would be)!

Yeah missing half of my team. I can do it alone or with someone watching and explaining what I am doing but its nice to not juggle camera and doing the work.

November 7, 2016 | Registered CommenterDarlah

It was my 1st birth to watch or be part of. What an amazing experience!

November 7, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterTracy

Couldn't have had a better whelping partner, Tracy. Feel bad dad wasn't able to be there but glad you could be.

November 7, 2016 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Oh and we did alright juggling the cameras - not my usual but better than none.

November 7, 2016 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Tracy did a great job with her phone. What beautiful puppies. The colouring is gorgeous. Adele and Stone made beautiful puppies. Darlah I hope you slept like a log. And Tracy too. You said the first two pups are 12 hours. How long was it until the next were born?

November 8, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterRonnie

Pups were born 6am, 645am 10:17am, 1021am and 1217pm. So by 1217pm today they are now 24 hours old.
