They started out fussing in the van. Where are we going? What are we doing? I had a cover over 3 walls and the top of the crate. When I removed the side walls they calmed down and settled in for the long trip. They slept the trip back and are now sleeping as I am typing.
Part of the car trip experience is finding out where they feel most comfie. Some do well up on a seat in a car seat. Some in a sherpa bag (should have one of these to go home.) No one drooled (sign of minor stress) or had an accident or got car sick. They didn't go till they got home. WOW and then they ate and drank and drank.
They had their fecal tested - negative of course. They tested ears, eyes, heart, patellas, skin, eyes, bites. Everyone is very healthy and he was so impressed with ther bites and their relaxed demeanor and heart rate. No racing - oh my gad where am I hearts. The vet was impressed and said well may have been an unexpected litter but what a great one. It was nice to hear!
Weights are really good and looking back at Fiona's pups even the smallest is larger than hers were at their 8 week visit.
Now to see if they are sore tomorrow. They just stood there and took it. Nathan said that's due to you, Lex (the vet) and he says no its the pups.
It was a long day but a good one. Now to head back on Friday for Jeannie and Adele.
