1st Time Outdoors With Both Litters

Here is the gallery of BOTH litters. I am putting both litters together tonight as I am on a seminar that is ending tonight so I am trying to save time.

We had the puppies out together today for the very first time. How did they do? Considering that the younger set is 3 plus week and not really ready for primetime they rose to the occassion as you will see.

They are simply too young for visitors but will rise to the occassion by 6 and 7 weeks. They are ahead of the curve though as they showed today and that includes Spirits. I also learned that I must get the curtains up at least on the bottom deck as it was simply too hot for them as you will see them panting the the videos.

3 Weeks 2 Days

This one had a walkabout today.

Pups are making improvements in finding the pad. Momma Spirit can be brushed up and a few minutes later she looks like pups have crawled through her and they did. LOL

3 Weeks Old

Nap time again? They are 3 weeks and for the last few days they have upped their sociability.

They are doing well and I can't wait till they can go outside. I figure another half of a week and then we will attempt.

Today I sterilized the deck with my steamer (best steamer a Dupray) and then cleaned the BBQ. It will remain closed off so when this crew is ready, we can use it.

We are trying to get them to use the pad. It is a hit then a miss which is usual at this age. They get there by habit. You put them on the pad over and over till they go okay that's what I am supposed to do.

Now that the pups are in a huge area, I can climb in and play and I so do. They come up and lick my face and are really curious. It's wonderful!

2 Weeks 6 Days Old

Tomorrow this crew will be 3 weeks old and if you watch the videos, they are already playing.

They now are out of their whelping box right next to the Sage crew. This is the area where the older crew was and we simply placed up a wall so they can have their own area but get conditioned to each other. We do this for a reason. They are 1 week younger but they will soon be playing catch-up with the older crew. This stage is look and hey you look interesting stage. Next is the wall comes down. We watch and make sure no one is over powering another and it either goes back up for a few more days or stays down. We will see which way it goes when we get to that stage.

Spirit is staying with them more than Sage is as this is new for her pups and she is aware of that. So she spreads them with protection and little by little she was let then spread their wings.

I must say both moms like having more room.

Now to figure out how to get Sage to stop stealing Spirit's food.
