I laugh when you see mom's tonhue out and play is so juvenile. Yes, even moms have fun too.
They ran. They played and then it was time to start his new journey.
Here is the gallery before the departure.
We are missing the crew already. Crazy but we are happy hearing how they are doing. Thank you!
Bath tub, blow dryer - who cares. He's the first to depart tomorrow. By 3pm, we will be down to 9 pups. We are getting good reports from all. We are already feeling the dent but as 2 are remaining and 1 staying longer, 1 coming back for holidays - well the fun puppy house will continue.
The pups had a blast upstairs. They will soon be going upstairs again. They played and played!
Short blogs as I still have grooming to do.
The pups had fun with Nathan but I have to get him to take more videos. LOL
We heard Marli is doing well. Next Cinnamon puppy does not depart till Sunday.
Blogs are short as I am trying to get things done for pups to depart.
Marli is on his way home. We hope he has a great night. We miss him already but he's coming back for a visit soon.
Here is the gallery of Marli's new family!
We look forward to it.
Meet Talemaker's Marli Morris. He is going home tomorrow!
A true star in the bath. Okay - this again? He didn't mind having a blow dry either. Many firsts for this crew but this is his 3rd bath. He doesn't go home till after supper. So look for his family photos late tomorrow.
How did 10 weeks pass this fast? Have to admit this is a process for us but we so appreciate the excitement!
We played upstairs, downstairs - with the adult dogs. All was good.
Too much going on so very short blogs again. Sorry about that!
Some of the adults or older pups decided to play with the week ones and some chose not to. Coco the Maltese was also over and she was playing with all.
The play went really well. We are going to do this as much as possible so they get used to dogs that are not mom and dad.
The pups played. They rested and are still resting.
Be sure to check out the videos.
They had fun and I hope you did too.
It's truly hard to fathom that they are this old already.
Tonight and tomorrow nathan will go through the list along with me. I will also be getting bags ready.
Either today or tomorrow we are taking the dogs in the car so they get conditioned to a car ride.
Maybe if it continues to snow, Nathan will get his first snow experience with them too. We shall see.
The girl - she's precious looked down as if to say - that's a long way down. Pups all had baths. I did them 2 at a time times 7. I washed amd rinsed and dried with a towel then off to crate dry. The baths - no problem but they were not happy being wet in a crate. When they started to warm up, they were having a blast.
The photos were challenging as it was just me, bathing, rinsing and clicking. Oh my!
Playing with the pups is ALWAYS fun. Whenever you are feeling off kilter, the pups bring smiles. They are such special beings.
They gad a ton of fun today. Soon they will go upstairs and play for the last time before bed. They just started making it to 7am. That only comes if play ensues before sleep.
Wasn't sure I was up for this visit considering what we went through today. I really like this family and I understood why they couldn't come Saturday. Pups have a way to make you smile. They are magical!
Good company is too and I so enjoyed that they knew every puppy. It's hard with 14.
They came. The pups played. The humans played. It was a great visit.
All the pups were deemed healthy. Our vet tends to check all and write it all down even if minor. I appreciate her!
Here are their weights:
Dark brown male 5lb 20z - the largest cause he so loves to eat. LOL Will be easy to train.
White Chest Brown tri female 4lb 4oz
Dark Brown with light paws Female 4lb 6oz
Apricot and Cream Female 4lb
Apricot and Cream Boy 4lb 10oz
Black, White and Brown Female 4lb 12oz
Thin white line chin silvering female 4lb 10oz
The pups were great for the visit and had fun after the visit. Check out the gallery.
Our vet was short of microchips so she will be back on Friday to insert the remaining ones. That will go quick. I just hope that doesn't mean they are sore for the puppy visit the next day. It is what it is.
Can you see Cinnamon in this photo kissing her boy? It is endearing. The moms are rather special.
Pups had fun today. Nathan and I took them upstairs this morning onbetween my grooming. Dennis took them this afternoon and they will have another time upstairs before bedtime.
Tomorrow the vet comes and we get checkups, microchips and fecal checked.
It will take time with 14. How much time, I am not sure.
Pups had a wonderful amount of play today. Some were even mischevious as you will see on the videos.
Short blogs today.
Looks like the vet won't be coming till Tuesday. That's okay. It will give me time to set up an area with a table, scale etc
Nathan will be back tomorrow night. I wonder if he will see the difference. I do. They are really a fun bunch.
Blogs are going to be short as I am behind doing things. Hope you don't mind.
I had a blast with the pups. This was their 1st outdoor snow visit. Actually first outdoor anything. They had such a blast and so did I.
Be sure to check out the videos.
They embraced the experience as if it was the best adventure. I so love these pups. They make me laugh and well, we have had our moments.
After the snow play, we went upstairs and continued the play and oh boy that was exciting!
This Cinnamon boy is a very loving boy but not rowdy. He holds his own but he goes with the flow. He is just a happy guy. Maybe a part of it, other than his innate personality is due to the times I held him in my arms and watched tv. He snuggled with me and my heart melted. I hold all but he gave me early snuggles and I just fell for it. As I am aware of it, I make a habit of doing this with all each day. It's a marvelous time and if I can't fit in enough of it, I feel like something is lacking.
They change a great deal between 6-8 weeks. He remains true to that 3 week boy that delighted in resting on me and not being a wriggly worm.
But they all enjoy the love. Conditioning helps but its also who they are.
I am so delighted with all 14. But the one remaining is a step over the line gal. You always have to have one.
