Ollie's Last Bath

Can't believe he is departing tomorrow. He made the leap to be out with the adult dogs very easily. 

How did he do in the bath? He was great. No issue. He did not like how long it took to dry him but even that was not an issue. He didn't complain. Just wanted to get down.

Here is a gallery eating with Kinsey. They both had baths but no gallery for Kinsey as she remains here. 

He sure cleans up nicely. Going to miss #7.

Tomorrow we will have a departure and then the next day we will put some photos received up.

Changes Video Added

What's new with this duo?

They had a restless night then settled in. Kinsey so wanted the connection of Ollie - to sleep upclose. Tonight will be better. They were not up all night. Mostly sleeping but each time independent Ollie moved she would hunt him out so she could spoon with him.

It is a big change. No xpen downstairs. In with the big guys. These are all good things but it is a change. They are doing well. Too cold to go out today so they will use pads. Both are not stressed as they ate their meals fully. They love being around the older crew and neither is in your face to the older crew irritating which some are. LOL

Two more days and we will be down to just Kinsey. Imagine that. It was an exhausying departure and a birth and I am still tired today cause I had to take videos of these 2 throughout the night. Silly me. But hopefully catch up in time for Tempie. We have never had a departure and birth in the same day. I hope to never experience it again. We need recovery in there.

Hope everyone is doing well. Me, I have to go groom and watch Spirit on video. She is doing well.

What's Up With the Duo?

Since the last pups left, Ollie and Kinsey have been playing with the adults. All is well. They enjoy being with the rest. Nathan thought about taking them to bed but not fair for Ollie so he will wait and take Kinsey to bed when its just her. They are quieter than usual. They no longer have their xpen in my room as we have Spirit in that section so she feels that her pups are safe. Tomorrow we will set up Tempie's area. I do not have a whelping box decorated for her. Best find some spare time.

Sage is missing her pups so we are trying to get her to bond with Kinsey. It all unfolds.

We are going to have Ollie for 3 days so we shall see how they adjust to being one of the big guys.

Lachlan's New Family

this was the family that came first and we had just finished whelping Spirit's litter after staying up all night for the 2nd night in a row. I mean all night. No naps etc. 

Thank you for the fruit basket - yum and Nathan is exceptionally happy as its something he can eat and oh boy has he made a dent.

About halfway through or 3/4 - I do not know, I excused myself. I had a blinding headache and felt incredibly sick from a lack of sleep. I was not functioning but was trying to. I believe they understood but this is a first time but it is also a first time to send 3 pups home on the same day as whelping. 

So apologies. After sleeping for an hour - think that is how long it was, the headache was gone and I no longer felt like a truck ran over me over and over. 

The puppy departures are so incredibly important to me so I felt sad that I was unable to pull it off entirely. 

Pups were delightful though. The families happy - this entire weekend. To see such delight gets me to embrace this journey. I love seeing how happy people are with their pups.

Spanky's New Family

Here is Spanky's New Family gallery.

I feel like I shorted this family and 1 other. As I have been doing all nighters for 2 nights in a row, I crawled into bed between family 1 and family 2 and Nathan didn't wake me up. I heard them downstairs and got up not feeling whole but much better. Nathan did have the video going but didn't take photos. When I got up I did both so hopefully I made up for it. Videos will come later tonight as soon as I can. I have 2 adults to groom tonight and Nathan will set in with Spirit after Dennis does the pens.

Chubby's New Family

I must say - I want to believe TOO! Love that shirt! Here is Chubby's new family.

After they departed, Nathan said we are done till Thursday? I said no 3 tomorrow. I think he sunk into his chair and said oh my. He hasn't had a nap for 2 days. Bonus no 3 puppies to wash first thing till Wednesday then only 2 as Kinsey needs a bath too.

I love this family. They made us laugh and I so needed that about now. Thank you so much for the chocolates.

I must admit we have some pretty outstanding families. Our pups - now your pups are lucky!

It is so hard to believe we are down to 5 and tomorrow 2.

Pups are sleeping and it will be interesting to watch their play. I so miss them but I am happy for the new families too.

Meet George

His official name is Talemaker Saint George. I have to laugh as he said to me today - really a bath? You've got to be kidding. Oh he wasn't terible. I have had pups that were moving targets but he did look at me and did his wriggling dance to say he was not impressed. I just laughed and that is how you handle that. By the end he was saying okay - I will lay on the table, take those photos and be a good boy.

What a mixed emotion end of the journey for us. We are so happy for the new owners. No slouches here. Just great puppies!

Meet Elvis

Elvis is the 3rd pup to depart tomorrow. His full name is Talemaker Elvis Presley. He was the very best of the 3 in the bath, blow drying and photos. He just plain said okay. Bravo little one and he is one of the smaller ones.

I have a feeling it will be a special time for the new families but maybe juggling for me. Not to worry, we will make it special.

3 Days Till Start

I can't believe baths on Thursday, 3 depart on Friday and still I have much to do. never been this late and between grooming and pups, it's eating a hole in my stomach so there is that. Tums to rescue.
