Click on Photo for Larger ViewRaven kept me up all night. Nathan made it after my screaming for him. He made it at the end of her delivery. He arrived on the scene after I had done everything except having the placenta come. I am tired. Her first and only is a good sized boy who looks just like her. He was born at 356am. He weighs 7-7/8oz 223grams.

Although she was in pushing labour for 2 hours, I knew the pup and her was not in stress. I checked the fetal heartbeat and she was not crying - just pushing. I am so glad she didn't need a c-section. I watched mom and knew things were progressing. When he arrived it was silent. I was then trying to take care of mom, pup and try to do videos - which I am uploading and photos. It's actually too much by oneself but I got some of it done.

See videos here. I will continue to upload.

It was all natural after all that and a beauty.

Here is the gallery.

I made a decision last night before I crawled into bed that we needed to give Raven a Leti pup. She has too much milk. Plus a singleton can eat too much and have difficulty walking at first.  This morning I decided to give her another. They will forever more be discussed as Leti pups but Raven will feed them. Last time we did this was with Spicy as she had so many and both moms knew and mothered that boy throughout. I have really good moms. I would not breed them if I didn't. They are supportive to each other. This is NOT always the case with other moms as I hear the stories. But for us this works. Raven is happy. Leti is happy and both know.

This means Leti is feeding 4, Raven is feeding 3 and Cinnamon is feeding 7.

Raven's boy has not lost or gained but he is only 6 plus hours old. She is happy. She was bleeding quite a bit after birth but that has stopped. When you have multiple pups, they push out a bit at a time and with one, it all came out at once giving you a perspective something was wrong.

Sherry made a beautiful mat but we left half of it covered with a towel to absorb the blood. I have now removed it.

Raven has been outside. She is so excited to see the pups.

I think I am way too old for these night deliveries. I feel as if I am in a fog but I will recover. But I wouldn't have it any other way. The moments I share with mom during this time is so great.

Nathan was initially going to stay up with her but that part has always been me and it quickly went to - I am going to sleep, yell when she delivers. Well, I did... and I did and I did. LOL

Nathan mentioned due to the vets and what she told us he would have been in having a c-section after a half hour of pushing. I know my moms and Nathan and I balance each other out. When it all comes down to it, he is amazing delivering. I am the calm, this is what you do or need to do person. You need both, I am just upset he didn't experience this till the pup was out. I did try.
