Bath at Talemaker Havanese

It's hopeless - yes I mean totally hopeless. I gave a bath to Fiona and the dainty little thing - our smallest Havanese stayed beautiful all day long and Risa, well as you can see in this photo this was her AFTER the bath.

She shimmied and rolled and she just can't help herself getting leaves, sticks and all that dirt all over her beautiful, clean coat.

I caught her in action. Check out the photos here.

Okay, this makes me feel much better about Katie. I wash her and brush her then ten minutes later you couldn't tell. She hates having her hair in an elastic or clips, but she cannot see anything without them. When she wants to get up to her window seat or the bed, she barks for us to lift her. I have to say she is just a little spoiled.

Marilyne:

We all spoil our dogs to various degrees. As long as they don't run the show picking them up won't hurt them or us. I do it at various times. But hair ties - I am the type that says - you got to see so this is the way it is. Mothering is sort of like doing it with humans. You have to sometimes do things for their own good that they don't like.

Who knows if they will ever know if you are doing it to help but you are and that's all that matters. :-)
