Headache Time

Raylan and Abigail play amazing and so does Red.

When I saw this photo, I went oh my - momma got a headache from those KIDS!

The dawgs were playing like we just pumped them up with excitement and then they crashed. It was so much fun to watch.

Today I clipped the hair from their pads. You should too.

More snow is coming. Stay warm!

Max is such a squirm that I can hardly even brush him never mind getting out scissors. Although I wanted to do all the grooming by myself, I haven't been able to clip his nails and there are knots on his front legs so I may have to take him in to get grooming done.

Kim:

Sometimes you literally have to hold them while you are sitting with their front end or back end between your legs or have someone else do the holding but persist. It sounds terrible but its not normal to LOVE the grooming. It's all conditioning. You do this daily and eventually they go oh and then treat at the end of each session so they know it concludes with something fun. Spice hates grooming and I am holding her in place and getting her used to it. She is getting better but I have a road to travel as I want her to lay on her back, relax and allow me to groom and that takes conditioning. It pays off to persist - honestly!
