Snuggles & More

We had a lot of outdoor time today. Tomorrow I start washing dogs. Why? They need it and I need to get it done. I figure maybe I will be up to it tomorrow and be $%^& under my breath as I wasn't up to it earlier in the week.

My yard is starting to get green and I noticed daylilies were trampled on. Good thing they are hardy. There is so much to do in the garden. Soon peonies will be blooming. My house will be filled with vases of them. Then it will rain and ruin most of them. I will complain about the mud and puppies going home and drooping peonies.

There's that bench that needs new wooden slats or be thrown out - not sure which or if I can find slats for it or have them cut but lawsuit time if anyone sits on it so DON'T.

But as the warm weather comes we will have friends over, eating out on the deck and enjoying puppy visits. Now that's something to look forward to.

I do so love shaded areas of green and colour for the pups to romp in. Perhaps they will get it before they go. Here is hoping.

Every time I see a photos of Truffie I stare. His colour is mezmerizing along w/ that little brown nose! What is his colour called again? And, Phantom's colour? It doesn't appear that Truff's and Phantom's colours fade . . . ??

I agree with Debi - Truffie's colour is stunning; also, the occasional "mad scientist/ dishevelled " look is priceless! He seems to be great with the pups

Angie - You gave me my laugh of the day! (Luv your descriptive phrasing.) :-)

Thx Debi - the pups definitely inspire me ... take care

You know I washed the boy today and he proceeded to wipe his head every which way all over everything. The dawgs - well they can't help themselves. I call him my 'wild child'

Deb: Truffie is a dark chocolate. He is actually darker than his father and has a red tone to his chocolate. He is retaining his colour. It is a recessive gene and you must have it on both sides. Fiona has it 8 generations back. Just because both sides have it doesn't mean you will get it. He has the desirable coat, eye and pigment colouring for a chocolate. I didn't need nor want a boy but then surprise and he remained and he will be bred to Spice. Life is always so interesting.

I luv learning about this breed! It just may become a passion of mine . . . guess it already has! :-)

Wow! Truffie and Spice. I can picture some gorgeous pups! I look forward to that for
sure.

Yes, I imagine that will be an excellent pairing. Wasabi's mother is a beautiful array of colour and her grandfather is also an amazing array of colours. Add Phantom in the mix and we shall see.
