Shoshi Has the Play

It's funny but Shoshi is an older lady that still finds the play. She is patient, loyal and loves the pups even though she has never had any of her own.

I caught this photo of her sitting watching the birds fly by. Her favourite past time is chasing them. I am not sure she would know what to do if she ever caught one but Wasabi has managed to catch squirrels.

She doesn't do anything with them. She catches their tails, holds on and then lets go. I think she just does it as she knows she can.

I have noticed that the elder dogs really excude a sense of wisdom and earned respect. I honestly have to say that I haven't really seen this in other breeds . . . there is something about the Havanese because both Risa and Shoshi share this trait and it comes across in your photos. When I see them I just want to call them "Grande Dames." How old are they - or will they share? :-)

I hate even thinking about it but they are both going on 11.

Wow! Yes, I know what you mean. When I first started taking Tia to the groomers, my excuse for the groomer to do her from beginning to end and have her out in a couple of hours was that "she was a puppy" and it's too hard on her. One day I realized that she was past middle aged and I was still saying that to people. But, I found other excuses once that realization hit me . . . LOL! One thing about dogs . . . they're always our babies.
