No Pool Day

This is Tiger Lily with Benji. We didn't have a pool day.

It was threatening to rain and then didn't but I managed to get out there with the pups, with the crew. We played our heart out many times over but no swim today.

Tiger Lily is slightly larger than Mia just in case Deb asks but not by much. :-)

Here's a few photos from today.

The dogs helped me do a bit of weeding. They seem to like me pulling, yanking and throwing. They think it is so much fun. Dennis doesn't as he is cleanup crew when I go a bit crazy. I need to go REAL crazy in my middle garden but who has time.

Dennis said to me, where does Mia get her bubbly personality? She's just like Spicy. I said well it has to be from Kat or Wasabi as they both share the same parents. This little ball of fun is a dog much like Benji liking to be in the thick of everything without a fear in the world.

I believe its going to be fun seeing what Spice produces.

Tiger Lily started playing her heart out today but if someone gets a little too rough she's not afraid to say ENOUGH.I don't blame her as the boys can be boys and like to rough house and she's a little gal but get thism they listen. Its a gal that has it all under control.

The crew is meshing...

Teaser goes home on Wednesday. We love her but she's been a bit bossy with Abigail saying the BOYS are all mine. When they are not in heat this conflict doesn't happen. Teaser will be done breeding and then we wait to see if there is a pregnancy. There should be but Paula will be doing the pups this time. :-)

Love the photos. There can never be too many dawg & puppy photos.

Where have you been hiding Truffie ? It was great to see shots of the older dawgs.

Darlah! I think you may just be getting to know me - :-) I too loved seeing the older dawgs. Great photos of all of them. Glad you had the chance to enjoy "all" outside today! We've just had rain - a lovely summer shower - for quite some time - it's stopped and sun is back out.

It's nice that these two pups along w/ lovely summer weather bring about a relaxing kind of involvement. I envy you! I know it still work, but the rewards are priceless.

I work from morning till I rest my head and even then but I do have moments that I treasure - many each day as I truly love the dogs. I can sleep 3 hours a night which I did for a couple of weeks with one litter and treasure the time I get despite the no sleep. I would like to get more other things done but sometimes you have to stop and smell the roses, so to speak. My roses are the dogs. They love you unconditionally and that's priceless.

Kathy: Truffie is here but Logan chewed off the top of his hair in play. We wait and grow and wait and grow - like watching a baby develop. Same happened with Kat at his age. hehe Spice has the same issue. Logan on the other hand has gorgeous hair.

Wonderful photos! Thank you so much and please give our baby girl lots of hugs and kisses for us! She looks like she's having a wonderful time and it's so nice to see her interacting so well with the others... I keep telling Vince we need to get her a little brother or sister to play with - my vote would be for a Truffie & Spicy pup for sure!!

Sending our love from the Bahamas!

Debi, I just finished a story about the rain and then I read your comment on the "nice summer shower"......not so nice for us today! :-)

Darlah, how old is Mia and do you know how much she weighs?

July 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterLori

Lori,

Mia turned a year old on June 20th so she is almost 13 months. Last time we weighed her - probably about a month or so ago - she was at 8.6lbs

Alyssa, she's so little! :-) she's very cute! I love her colouring with that bit of black around her ears.
Scruffs is 9 lbs and he's only 6 months! And he was the smallest of the litter. I wonder how big he'll get.

Alyssa, I too vote for the same pairing ... happy vacationing!

July 10, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterAngie

Lori: Scruffs will most likely be between 11 and 13 lbs. That's what Kat weighs. When he is breeding he goes down to 11 and during the winter he gets up to 13. Fiona until she had a litter was 7lbs soaking wet. After pups go she will be approx 9lbs. We once had her up to 9.5 lbs non pregnant but that was a one time thing. Fiona is our smallest gal. I have to weigh Roxie as she is a lightweight herself.

Alyssa: I hope you are enjoying your holiday. Mia is really enjoying hers - seriously. She's a fun loving soul that loves to play, snuggle and she embraces life with gusto. Its rather easy to love her!

How much does Miss Abs weigh? Laci is just under 7 now, according to my scale.
