Few Photos
Not every photo but a few - too tired to do them all...
Promise I will get to the photos by Monday. Today, I am so exhausted! Late for daughter's party too and not sure I have energy to drive there. :-(
Unfortunately starting in the New Year, our costs will go up. Please contact nathan for updated costs.
The picnic date took place on August 17, 2019 from 12pm to 5pm at Yvonne's place in Brighton. Check out the details here. Photos from the 2019 picnic can be found here. Yvonne's place is NEXT DOOR to her old place. I will try to put a havanese flag out front. Hope you can join us. Directions are here. The house # is 25. There is no picnic in 2020 due to COVID but hopefully in 2021. Stay Tuned!

We had a great time. Thanks so much to everyone who participated and especially to our cohosts. Great to see all the pictures and of course particularly the twins :)
Gerda:
Thank you so much for coming. I am truly glad to see you and Tre.
Yvonne and I was talking about Kat and she said I know what it was, it was the humping the air guy and the perceived competition.
Now everyone I am NOT going to explain that one. You had to be there to get it. Too bad, so sad that you were not!
I have to say I was supposed to be at my daughter's birthday party but I am too tired. I will have to see her tomorrow when she drops the grandkids off. (Birthday was June 20th - party is tonight - sigh)
It was great to see Meeko and Andy - haven't seen them in awhile. Mia - oh my is she cute as a button, Brie I could eat up. The twins - so special! Coco and Doozie doing their dance - great - Cooper stopping by before heading to Montreal. Penny.... and well there were more and each was rather special. But only Kobe and Roxie went swimming.
I had a great time, which I really needed right now!! Sharon also enjoyed herself. She wants a Havanese now. If she can convince her Husband..lol. Thanks so much for having us. Brie and Colby really enjoyed themselves, just like us. Thanks go out to the co hosts. What a beautiful setting for a picnic!!! Hope to see you all again next year!!!!!
It was such a great day! Even the rain couldn't put a damper on the picnic! We loved meeting the dogs and their human moms and dads. Thank you so much to Yvonne and Alex and Darlah and Nathan for bringing us all together and letting us flatten Alex's and Yvonne's grass and stress their septic system....What a wonderful place! The food was great too! I am sure nobody went home hungry! We had so much fun meeting everyone and cuddling dogs, snapping photos's... and eating!!!!
Thanks to Darlah, Nathan, Yvonne and hubbie for being great hosts today. And thanks to all for the delicious food. We had a great time and so did the Scruffster! Thankfully the rain was short-lived and the sun came out so Scruffs could stop hiding under the food table. He's such a prince!LOL. Can't wait for next year :)
Yes, maybe we will manage to get more people out next year without a threat of rain. People who had said they were coming didn't and some came late or left early so wasn't in the group shot. <sigh> Alex mentioned that there were hardly any of their people and mostly ours. I felt bad but its always like that. It was just noticeable this year. Yvonne said to Alex - but they keep in contact with their puppy people. Well, we try. Nathan is still trying to figure out a get together spot in the winter but if we have to rent a place it will come with a cost and I am not sure that's fair. If we have a lot of snow we will have our tunnels back and we will invite groups of people over to freeze and laugh watching their dogs. We shall see.
Luv the raincoat photo! Is that Nathan pictured w/ twins Kobe and Tre? (Am I right on that - had to study it for a moment as they look so grown up?) Who is the pretty dog in the last photo? All great photos! :-)
The last dog is Mr. Anderson a Phantom and Treasure pup. See http://www.talemakerhavanese.com/talemaker-havanese-pups/2011/11/25/mr-andersons-journey.html - Andy is a chocolate sable. If we use Truffie on Treasure next heat I suppose we may get more of that and then again always surprises.
The twins are in Nathan's arms. They look much bigger than they are. Still can tell they are puppies.
Oh, I remember Andy! As w/ many, his colouring has lightened since we first met him during our 1st visit at your place- Nov '11. I fell in love w/ him and carried him around w/ me. Had he not already had parents, I would have brought him home! Really nice to see him again . . . he's even cuter now!
The twins are adorable and strikingly similar! Were their personalities similar as well? When mine were young, they used to change back and forth, never the same at one time.
Debi: He's actually held his colour only lightening up a tad bit. Quite interesting shades and the photos don't do it justice. Silky, silky hair but that's Treasure.
Which twin has the ponytail?
Tre has a ponytail. Kobe jumped in the pool with Roxie - go figure!
Well that's one way to tell them apart! Were they a lot alike in real life? Fun to hear of siblings, if even from different litters are having fun together. Perhaps they know they are special to each other. :-)
I will let Gerda and Lauren tell you what they think. Kobe was there early so I did get to spend a fair amount of time with him and he was right in the pool. Tre seemed to be a social butterfly too - here and there. They are really nice pups. Just what I hoped to see. Gerda is talking about next year so maybe we can get Laci to see her brothers then. Here is hoping.
