Sounds like Tre is down for the count but it seriously won't be a week as the vet suggests. It's easier on the boys and the dogs DO heal fast.
Wasabi had her spay and if your remember by day 2 you would have never known it was done. I fretted though. I think it is harder on us humans than on them. Give him a hug and he looks stylin in his onesie!
He still has his golden copper colour on his leg I see!
Our vet now sells a dog onsie if you can believe for post surgey in all sizes.
How much does he weigh now?

Lol he definitely plays it up when I put the onesie on ( which he only wears at night or if I leave the house). When it's off he is much more himself. But it's such a great idea , far nicer than those old e collars, which I hated just looking at. I used to stuff a long sock and tie it around the neck. Was just thick enough to block their reach , but this is even easier.
Weight wise Tre is around 9 lbs,,he is a lean guy under all that hair. And yes he has so many colours in his coat! The browns are still quite strong in different lighting. My photos don't do it justice.
The onesie is an awesome idea!!
9lbs ah around Truff's size - how interesting - fun regarding the colours!
Cha Cha is being spayed on feb 6th!!!!! Time sure does fly!!! Ill have to get her a onesie!!!!! Today she started something very new and different for her. She hasn't wanted to eat. She is usually so eager. She does not seem unwell at all. I hope she is Not going into heat!!!!!!!! Any ideas anyone??? Thanks.
Fiona is a picky eater. You may want to change up her food a tad bit - add something interesting and don't let her graze. Fiona used to not eat for a full day here and there - sometimes going on 2 days - just wasn't interested. It drove me crazy as she is a small gal but she no longer does it. I know Truffie's brother did this too but stopped. You can create an even pickier eater by leaving the food dish down always.
Stress always reduces or eliminates eating. Stress can be something as easy as tension in the house to changing the environment. They are creature of habits but they need and should have change. If none of that exists and she is healthy, she will eat when she needs to eat. Don't fret. If she eats a good yummy treat she is being picky.
Spice has been reduced on her food and its not the steak, liver, filet she was used to so she is going through - you don''t expect me to eat THAT do you? She will adjust and her weight will go back to normal.
How to tell if a girl is going into heat. Look at her vulva and if it has become swollen in a huge way about the size of a quarter to half of a dollar in size then she could be coming in. Take a q-tip and slightly put it inside to see if you get blood. Many will keep themselves so clean that you do not see the blood. It's obvious with the size of the vulva though especially if you are aware of the sizing before heat.
Sorry about being so technical folks.
