Busy Day

This will be short as I have Pepper and Scruffy to brush out and Max and Missy are going first thing tomorrow so they are getting baths tonight. So... I will try to get more photos up tonight but can't promise. It will depend on how long it takes to do each. :-)

If I finish early enough you will see photos. If not, I will play catch-up tomorrow.

The dogs had a really fun and crazy play day. They are a mess even though all were combed out. It's one of those days when you say really - you really brushed them... yeah right.

I am still looking for blankets baby and otherwise and baby lamaze toys especially the ones that clip on things so I can clip them to the xpen for sensory. I have been to our local baby consignment shop for the last 3 months and not a single blanket or lamaze toy. Strange but if you have a lead on any, let me know as my time is limited and I don't have the ability to shop just to shop. :-( I used to.

Just finished bathing - wow am I tired. Here are a few more photos taken today. I hope you enjoy them!

As usual, we always manage to have fun even when we are grooming up a storm. The dogs make my life worth living!

I would recognize that big white fluff ball anywhere :-) Dogs have fun and that's what matters. I have come to realize that they can't always be perfectly combed. I know I'm not :-)

Hi Darlah:

Why are you looking for baby blankets, etc. etc.???? Is Abigail pregnant?

I might be able to spare a couple of blankets.....fleecy type??? Let me know.

It is Risa on her back? Great picture of her ! Love the picture of Truff and the Coop!

November 3, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAnne Duncan

Yes, Risa always lets loose. I guess its that age thing. You can do whatever you want and its okay!

Coops and Truffie look good together!

Did you notice Coops tongue in the last one?

November 3, 2013 | Registered CommenterDarlah

I think I see his tongue.....up early again today (6:30) although us humans were also awake. Three more nights to train him to sleep until 7 am again until he goes to your house :-)

Anne: You were taking Nathan's request serious. ROFL. We made it to 645am. It was the best we could do. He will play so much here he will sleep in. I am not worried about it.

I love the shots of Shoshi and Risa!

Bob usually gets up between 5 and 5:30 and takes the dogs out and then they come back to bed with me and sleep until I get up. This morning they woke up at 4 am to be taken out - ugh. I hope their clocks adjust soon!

On another note, Darlah I don't know if you've tried the towel yet, but I gave Trigger a bath this morning and only had to use the one dog towel - it was amazing. It soaked up so much of the water.

Shannon: I just use it today on Spice and wow it is a nice towel. Tell me and the rest where you got it as I am sure it will be worth the investment. Very nice towel.

4am - yikes!

I picked it up at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I looked online thinking it would be cheaper, but the Amazon price was double the in-store price.

November 4, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterShannon

Online is not always the cheapest I am finding. It was nice not to use 3 towels for each dog. I use car shammies for feet and I lay them on my grooming table to absorb while they stand and get dried. That helps too but this really took up the body water. All I did was hold it on and press all over her body. I will have to try it on Risa as she has thick hair and see how it does. Thanks again, truly!

is there a special name to that towel? Picture? would love to get one! Darlah, maybe you can show it to me when I see you this week.

November 4, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAnne Duncan

The brand name is Bone Dry. It's a microfiber towel. I have (a human) one that I use on my hair, which works really well, so when I saw these dog ones I was curious to see if they worked as well. Normally we use 2-3 towels to dry the dogs and they're still really wet afterward. I just held the towel around Trigger too - no rubbing - and he came out pretty dry. With my hair, the longer I leave the towel on, the dryer my hiar is - it's great!

The shammies for feet is a good idea.

Anne - I went in to the Bed, Bath & Beyond site and did a search on 'dog towels.' Several choices came up as well as the paw towels. I wash Laci's paws almost daily so these will be handy for me too.

Thx for sharing Shannon! :-)

Thanks everyone! Will get the towel for sure.

November 4, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAnne Duncan

Debi: Looking at their site is dangerous. I saw too many interesting things.

November 4, 2013 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Darlah - I know what you mean. I do too much shopping on 'too many' websites! :)

Wow, Scruffy & Pepper sure had fun with the Coop. I like the one of Scruffy and Coop nose to nose, and Pepper trying to creep up on Coop. No wonder he stuck his tongue out at her! LOL
Risa is hilarious.i love that she is still so playful and young at heart.
