Class Last Night & Play Today

Here is Kona doing the perfect beg.

Ty doing his pray! He does so many tricks including counting much like the Kona!

Magic doing her paw. She also has a slew of tricks she knows.

Plus I want to add another of Magic as the relationship between the human sister Caitlin and Magic is amazing. As Phyllis says she does all the training and wow she is up there giving competition to Ty and Kona. Us, we didn't do any trick training before the class but Jeannie got the beg in oh - minutes. Nathan wasn't going to teach as he is too afraid she will try this stuff in the conformation ring and lose. But a truly trained dog should know you do x in this venue and x in that venue but for pups that is a bit hard to expect but we do. heh

Today we had Levon over and you will see some photos of him on Abigail's blog as he was playing with the pups. Below you will see Truffie and Logan and Panda playing.

This is Panda telling Roxie she's boss.

This is Logan and Truffie full out playing and loving it!

At one moment in time Panda said Logan is MINE but Logan and Truffie ignored her.

They continued to play and Panda observed.

Panda finally engaged Logan in play but only after Truffie and Logan was done. The boys were having fun!

Look at all those talented Havs! And I thought Laci was the smartest of the smart!
:-) It seems they're all special! That's great!!!

PS - Ive been reminded of a few tricks that have gone astray. LOL

Do you have Hilda again?

Yes, we have Hilda. We have had Hilda a great deal lately. We used to have Teddy a great deal but she is probably busy with her own classes in Blackstock.

We've only had Hilda and we enjoy her very much. Her assistants change but we've gotten to know them quite well too! All wonderful!

A couple of classes ago, Hilda brought in one of her dogs and showed some of his tricks. He's wonderful. I especially love when she calls him and he jumps right in to her arms (while standing fully erect.) We didn't do that one, but it's one I'd really like to learn w/ Laci. I should contact Gillian and ask if there is a specific course where we can learn this.

Debi: They do it as part of the SuperDogs team. I am not sure if she does it in classes but should. They should have 2 levels of tricks so you can learn other choices. Ty's mom has taught him to do so many tricks its unreal including count, shakedown, play dead, pray, take a bow and the list goes on. She said she was bored after not working so she has been teaching him an amazing amount of tricks. He is in the tricks class for more socialization. Kona from what I can see also knows many but I see Ty often so she is always showing me a new trick. Jeannie is picking up on tricks fast but we worry about her in the conformation ring. Usually you do not teach them sit etc as they will sit in the ring or do a trick or something and end up getting disqualified. But after her championship I may as she seems to truly loves learning. Then we get to start in on Adele - our Rollin in the Deep Gal. Maybe when Nathan is concentrating on her I can concentrate on fun things with Jeannie and the rest. We shall see. Lords knows with all this rain we have opportunities to challenge the minds.

I agree. A level 2 class would be excellent! I thought doing this course in 4 wks was a little short. Tell me what you think when you're thru, but it could have easily been a 6 wk course. And, the sad thing is that by wk 4 we are all just becoming friends - canine & human. I felt this about the 4 wk Fast Track Family Dog. Would rather they keep that course at 6 wks, but we had to take that one as a longer one wasn't offered at that time.
Good thing I postponed last Sun's BQ/party to today. I guess the jokes on me since last Sun turned out to be beautiful! hahaha <sigh>

Well, the sun is finally out but who knows for how long. I may swim just to be stubborn. I had planned on taking the pups in but not if its raining. I also planned on washing the dogs and brushing and combing out and letting them air dry but its not going to happen today. We instead have been playing inside. At least this rain is light. If this weather keeps up I am going to only brush and comb before bed. Want to see what everyone looks like air dried. :-) That's the beauty of summer as you can get away with it but not this summer so far. Good luck on the get together!

Thx! We had thunder & lightening about an hr ago, then the sun came out - back in again. Still, I'm remaining optimistic . . . I'm stubborn too! LOL
