Crazy Day

You didn't hear me say it but after a long day out I came home to an office that was a mess. It seems our son took out the computer portable to trash it as he says I never use it and its so old and it is. It allows me to see outside clearly and have more desk space. But now I have clutter to deal with that was sitting behind it. I am a clutter queen due to many losses in my life I tend to treasure and hoard 'things' but I always vow to do better. I am not as bad though as those they show on tv. hahaha I do have a tough time letting go like this portable that sat and wasn't used just in case I do need it.

I said don't trash it as I have photos. He then left me a note on what I need to buy to store bars and cables and as fastidious as he usually is, he put the puppy pad upside down. My desk looks like well Nathan's and I don't like that so if it rains, we will be playing inside in-between my getting this desk back to normal or at least attempting to.

Funny, the kitchen was clean. The outside all picked up and clean. The puppy room all of it. Just my room a bloody nightmare. Okay stop griping. I only care if he takes care of the dogs and not clean but he is my ocd of cleaning the puppy pens etc and it is so funny to have a puppy pad flipped over the wrong way. He will say it wasn't him but he was the only one here. He's now sleeping so I can't test this theory.

Well with these pups departing and Spice having pups a week later it gives me that one week window to truly reorganize this room. Did you see what I did? I just procrastinated 2 weeks from now. Okay, it begins today if it rains but we have Chewy, Riley, Tiger and Rocky to play today and classes tonight with Bailey and Jeannie. What a fun day this will be but a long day at that.

I guess its the long weekend. Without calendars, phones, reminders we would never know around here. One day is the same - fun dawg days!

Where's that lottery ticket as I would indeed have an organized house and still be doing the dawgs just they would have more things. Oh boy... more clutter says she. It never ends but truly it's not as bad as it seems and I am always needing crazy things like towels, blankets, waterproof pads and my to do list keeps growing. I vow if this rain stops to sand our kitchen french doors and stain them. We will see if this is the year it gets done. Last year I accomplished doing the picnic table with a mouse sander and again this year that is all I have. oy... No wonder why the list keeps growing. hahahaha

Well, off to groom dawgs and get the cushions in as rains seem imminent.

PS: Nathan bought a slew of antlers split so if it really rains hard the dogs including visitors will all have a fun chewing treat. My guy always thinking about the dawgs even before me. Yeah I am laughing!

You are right Darlah, organizing is meant for rainy days.
Now puppy play that is something I would look forward to everyday
and my house could fall down around me. Ha Ha.

Hording, what a terrible world. I prefer, selective collecting. One idea for clutter is to take a picture of something that is meaningful to you and then making up a photo album. If you are like me, you haven't quiet got there yet. Does apple have a program like photo shop elements? I just love it because it keeps my files in order. You upload your pictures and put them into a file. Then open Elements and import the files. You can tag them however you want as many ways as you like. I have a tag for Family and then sub tags for each of my sisters. I can call up just 'Jacky' or the whole darn lot by using 'Family'. I do need to get a larger hard drive as I am scanning all the pictures left by my mother.
Darlah, you might have to hire someone to help you sort all the photos you have but wouldn't it be neat to call up all Spice's puppies or just the first litter pictures. Anyhow, just an idea. Oh yest about formatting your sd from your camera by accident. If you haven't taken too many photos, you can use a program like Search and Recover to get back photos that have not been over written. (Did it my self a few times).
Sorry for the long response. Glad to hear the puppies are doing fine after their visit. It does seem strange that Abigail could feed her puppies. Have you ever heard of that happening before?

Marilyne: Usually if they are dried up they are but guess she wasn't fully. Only reason I knew is they had silly milk faces.

I have lightroom and elements 11 but I usually import and never getting the time to tag but I do have dates I can call everything up from and I can search on that. One day but I barely get the galleries done forget about the organization of photos. I want to be organized elsewhere first. Oh to have endless time to do.

I am not that bad on hoarding. I do keep things that are past their time but eventually it gets there. Everything I keep has a memory attached. It's sort of like listening to an old song. I can immediately remember where I heard it the first time, who I was with and what I was doing. I remember strange things like the design on wallpaper, the shape of the room and the expressions on faces. My mind is rather quirky but its just one sense hearing. When I receive something I attach a memory of it and if that person is deceased, its hard to move it on. Photos are memories and they conjure up thoughts that I do treasure. The things they give you are a step closer. So for me they held it and so it becomes more complicated and cherished than a photo.

I adore photos and what they bring but its sort of like going completely digital with magazines and books. There is an experience with holding and touching and you take that part away when you can just visualize. Silly, I know but I will get there eventually. I do get rid of things that are broken after I can't glue it together any longer. I can throw things away that have no meaning like old cloth I am never going to sew on or magazines that the info is no longer relevant or old cameras that are no longer up to par - things that I ACQUIRED CAN GO. So only certain things have memories attached.

I was playing in the message not being serious - almost like whacking myself for not having 36 hours days and making the dogs my priority vs uncluttering or taking care of me. I do so wish we had 36 hour days when I only slept 6 and felt refreshed as I may have enough time to do all the things that I think should be on my to do list or maybe I would still spend most with the dogs.
