The picnic date took place on August 17, 2019 from 12pm to 5pm at Yvonne's place in Brighton. Check out the details here. Photos from the 2019 picnic can be found here. Yvonne's place is NEXT DOOR to her old place. I will try to put a havanese flag out front. Hope you can join us. Directions are here. The house # is 25. There is no picnic in 2020 due to COVID but hopefully in 2021. Stay Tuned!

Walks 'N' Wags Pet First Aid is a recognized National Pet First Aid Certificate course for dog and cat professionals and pet owners. Talemaker Havanese now has that certificate having taken and passed the course.

Risa had a bath and now I have to trim her pads, thin out her coat and shave that belly. I am doing it in stages as I have a stiff neck today. I am sure tomorrow will be better. Today cold presses, pills and all that.
Cali is coming for a bath on Friday and a small play. I am so excited.
Then we have some fun visitors this week. So exciting. I haven't been myself so this is a fun thing to look forward to.

To me Risa is the perfect Havanese. I just love the way her hair looks a little messy even after you just comb her out and the curly hair is wonderful. I wish more judges could take a look at her and realize what a Havanese should really look like with that smile on her face and twinkle of mischief in her eyes. I really love the colours that shine through the black coat.
Marilyne - she is a funny gal. Today I will shorten her up, do up her feet and brush her and comb her out but she will then roll and look the same. That's okay. She's am old lady and has every right to be as messy as she desires. This morning as every morning she jumped up a foot looking for her bowl to go down. She loves her food. I love her coat as it has body - wavy and well she is a special gal.
Risa looks like she knows she is the grande dame. And, she likes it!
I just want to hug her! She's young at heart that Risa!
