Got to Do Photos
Think we will try to do photos and do another gallery as that is easier especially if I can batch resize them.
The gate came in and no more chewed wood spokes.
Unfortunately starting in the New Year, our costs will go up. Please contact nathan for updated costs.

Beauty!! Mine is on order :) Did you attach it to the wall or is it free standing?
Ooooh, fancy! I like it.
Like the gate too!
Gerda: We actually attached it to the baseboard. It does come with things to put it up against the wall but Dennis found an unobtrusive way to do it that works. Will have to take a photo for you. But free standing its heavy enough that it would work free standing.
We got a gift certificate as a payment for work so now no more laughs and complaints about the missing and chewed parts (spokes) of the gate that we had. It also has a gate though I wish it was in the center but still it works. Now no more complaints about climbing over either.
I am also now not terribly embarrassed as I was. The clincher was when Jane took photos of her duo at that gate (no wrong intention here) and posted on Facebook and Paula brought it to my attention as everyone thought a variety of things. We ended up to be the brunt of jokes. So no more! If it was just Nathan it would have to be fallen over first. Heck he was talking about replacing the spokes not that he is a handyman of any sort. He uses his head for computer stuff but building, repairs that falls to me (sigh). The facebook thing did it.
Now spring come so I can sand the kitchen doors and stain.
LOL you know I saw that picture but was focused on the dogs and frankly did not notice the 'state' of the gate.. Likely a lesson for me to take a good look at some things around my house. Attaching to the baseboards is a great idea.. will have to take a look at that when mine comes in. Perferable to holes in the wall.
I this we have a similar gate but we had bought it for my son, then used it for my daughter and not for Griffin. We haven't fixed it to the wall as we still use it but mainly to stop Griffin from going up the stairs (the kids have their toys in their rooms and a Barbie lost feet and hands to my little fluffy monster). We kid of move the gate around based on what we want to block off. He still loves to chew and has bones and toys but every now an then he gets into stuff that is not for him. A great example if my son's test which had to go back to school partly chewed. Talk about dog ate my homework!
Well some people are mighty observant or catty. :-) We replace things when we can.
Tania: Yes although he is larger he is still a puppy too - just an older one. Great idea re: the movable gate. Its certainly easier than convincing kids to pick up. I know it would be for me.
PS: At least now a teacher can believe the story my dog ate my homework as that term came to be as it was TRUE!
Give Griffin a hug from us, please!
