What a Day

Cali brushed - a miracle - not the brushing part as that happens but that she stayed that way. shhh best not tell anyone that or they will have expectations. :-)

Oh Leti you look like you are posing!

This was taken today not on a fall day but it sure looks like fall.

Sparky says this Leti gal is fun!

Rocky and DJ are having a blast!Never saw Coco play as much as she has this visit. She's a regular social butterfly.

Well, we are a little preoccupied. The grand daughter is quickly losing weight and is not doing well. So back in the hospital starting Tuesday. Her doctor is getting some new eyes as she says its the worst case she has experienced and doesn't know what else to do as nothing seems to be working.

On another note I have been doing baths - not done but will wait till tomorrow to do more. My hand is not doing well.

Tuffy is also here and I am a tad upset - no photos of her - what I get bathing and well not able to get photos but she has had one on one time and seems to be connecting with Panda's boy in a big way. Well, at least her parents saw some of that on drop off. She departs tonight.

Me, I am doing blogs and brushing out Tuffy then I think trying to lose myself in TV or a game or something. Hope you understand. Everyone is well - playing and we didn't get rain today so we are thankful. Tomorrow they say we won't be so lucky. Still a ton of cleanup in the back. I think we need a professional blower.

Cali is a beauty. In this picture, she has the look of someone who wants to undo what you did LOL!

Anne: Its the evil look and this morning she is back to normal though I haven't yet started to brush. Will after the shower.

Dorry to hear about your granddaughter, Darlah.

We spent yesterday raking up the fall leaves at the old house - only to uncover the fact that the bunnies that took over our yard (since we were at the new house) ate absolutely every plant in the garden save the ones with prickles. Everything is gone - peonies, tulips, lupins, lady slippers, etc, etc - they ate it all. I've never seen anything like it in my life!

I sure hope the 'new medical eyes' will have helpful ideas to improve your granddaughter's condition. My thoughts and prayers are with her and your family.

Cali looks so pretty all brushed out. Adele does look like she is striking a pose,
like in the winners circle after a show. Head up, body all stacked waiting for
the cheers.

Shannon: You haven't sold the old house yet? The rabbits here have disappeared but anything chewed down should come back especially the bulb kind. The only issue is you won't see it this year and if you are selling maybe a bunch of peonies? sigh Rabbits do a great deal of damage.

No, we haven't listed yet because we've been renovating. Also, the ice storm killed the market and it really only started to pick up again in March, so we decided to wait for spring. We anticipate getting it listed this week, though.

I had hoped to transplant the peonies to the new house, but there's nothing there. Nothing. No remnants of any of the plants - it's like they were never there. It's bizarre. I don't know if anything will come back at all. The gardens are just empty. Now, at the new place I have squirrels digging deep holes in my lawn. Heh.

ah so you are way too busy - fun, fun not. Hugs - that is a lot of work! I complain about ours as I have doors to fix etc and pain this spring and a yard but what you are doing is serious work. Who am I to complain. :-)

In my other life I used to be a master gardener and I ran garden forums for General Electric and Time Warner. If they are garden peonies they are not up yet. If they are tree peonies and gone you got a hope in hell in getting them back. Peonies are finicky. They sometimes have issues with transplanting. Best done when young. What other plants are you looking for? Not everything is up. Me, I have a garden that I have to splice and throw out. My garden is way too full and not enough time to take care of it with pups and dogs. :-(

Kathy - that is Leti. :-) She's looking more and motre like Adele except lighter.

Unfortunately, I don't even know what half the stuff was. Bob's mom planted the gardens. Usually (probably because I can't keep up with all the gardens) plants would just lie dormant over the winter and "come to life" in the spring - but the gardens have never been empty before. It would be great if some stuff came back. Next time I am there I will poke around to see if the rabbits left the roots.

At the new house I am looking for sparser gardens that require less work. Peonies, for sure. Otherwise, I may just have to wait out the season to see what I have and of that what I want to keep. I also love gardening, but don't really have a lot of time for it.

I have no doubt, Darlah, that you are busier than I am! Unfortunately for Bob, I can't do a ton of the renovation stuff. He says I am good at supervising, though, lol.

It was a hard winter but give it time. You will see what you have. I also do not have the time. My gardens are not what they used to be. They used to be tours through here but you have to have priorities and the dogs are that.

Sorry to hear of your grandaughter! Prayers being sent her way!

Oops, you did say it was Leti. She has grown into a real beauty.
