Would the third one be Magic? those are hard...

I will give you that one but you have to guess on some of the others and I will post who the dogs are on the earlier one as no one is guessing any longer. Fiona is the 3rd one.

Ruth: You put your post on the wrong thread but #2 is not a bichon. It's not my breeding but it is Gidget when she was younger. Now the 5th one down IS a bichon. It's Hugo as a puppy.

Thanks Darlah!! Gidget does look a lot like a Bichon?
The dog in photo no. 5 you said is a Bichon pup named Hugo.............he looks a lot like Katie!?
The dog in photo number one has stuff in his/her fur at the top of it's head.............looks like bits of snow? but none in the rest of his/her body fur?

The dog in #1 has her hair wrapped and conditioned. Hugo is from Florence Erwin who now breeds Barbets. Havanese are hair not fur.

To be honest most bichons look like each other - at least related.

Gidget is indeed a havanese. I know her since a pup. What throws you off I imagine is the color and the curl in the hair.

I don't think I have seen the pair in # 4 before but they are adorable.

That's Coach and Sassy shaved down. Haven't seen them for a bit. Have to send them mail. They always have them looking so cute especially in winter. They keep them short as they go hiking a great deal.

Who is the little tri coloured pup ? Could it be Mac or Kona or one of Treasure's tri
pups ?

April 27, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterKathy & Kona

It was Kat. :-) Kat was brown, black and white when young and the brown turned into silver and then it kept going.

Abigail was the first photo. Fiona kept chewing her hair so I tried wrapping it. It was a funny time.

April 27, 2014 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Wow. I thought Kat was a born with the colouring he has now. Very interesting.
When did Kat's coat turn gray and white ?

April 27, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterKathy & Kona

Wow, I would have never guessed it was Kat in the last picture. Amazing how his colour changed!

Silvers always start out with black but you can see the silver at the roots around 10 weeks old plus. If they are a blue - not desirable as it is a double dilute despite some breeding them - they are silver from the start. Spice has silver in her coat but didn't see it till almost 18 months. If you look at Kat's photo with Wasabi on the other blast from the past, you can see how his coat changed from this 4 week old photo to a young pup.

By the way, Kat still gets brown in his coat from time to time.
