Just a Few Things

What a fun photo of Bonham and his human Mommy. I just love this photo! They were here visiting and have since departed.

Their other dog Tuffie was also playing up a storm. It's always great to see the entire family. Nice, nice people. I like that they stop in, play with the dogs and we get to enjoy their company.

Not much of an update today.

Nathan forgot to turn the pool on so no one was swimming. It happens and they say rain, rain and more rain on its way. I may be weeding in a rain poncho. We shall see. Its where I am heading when the sun goes down, I think. Or maybe not. hehe

Roxie is also doing the happy dance as she is done her heat.

Be sure to send Nathan photos if you want your dog included in the magazine. I am also doing an article on short cuts and will be putting in photos that people sent me.

Everyone is fine. Everyone got brushed and well we are looking forward to snuggling times on the couches. Can't wait so maybe weeding has to wait? See, I already started that procrastination thing. But after 4 hours yesterday of weeding my body feels like an old ladies.

Darlah, help, my Havanese has acquired fleas, we have never had them before and don't know the best product to use. Your advice is needed. Thank you. Su.

Su:

Do you have rugs? Do you have fleas in your home? Realize if you have fleas in your home treating your havanese won't eradicate them. You need to treat your home and your havanese. You need a flea bath and you should see your vet as they have oral or topical meds that can halt the cycle. I know Val had this issue and may be best to tell you how she effectively eradicated them.

Hugs!

Yes, we have rugs and i have laundered them at 40 and have vaccumed everywhere even tiny spaces the hav does not go. I will get some treatment from the vet but if Val can tell me how she did it, it would sure help. We feel quite unclean now.
Thank you for your support. Su.

What's your email address so I can send them email telling them to respond. Not everyone looks at this daily and I think timing is imperative. Do you know where you picked them up from? I have never had fleas here in Toronto but I did one year in California. I had to blitz the house, clean everything and treat the dogs but this was years and years ago and much has changed since then.

The topical treatment the vet gave me is advantage, not too keen on using this sort of thing after reading the EPA article about it and frontline.
We let her stay with a neighbour when we were at at family function, the neighbour has a dog but I am not sure if this is the source. I got one off her and have flea combed but not able to see anymore and cannot see eggs etc in the comb.
