No Grooming Day

I decided with everything going on that I was going to have a no grooming day.

But when you cut the hair short like Rocky it doesn't matter if you skip a day. Tomorrow the Rocky gets a bath and goes home smelling beautiful. He recently got skunked (not here) so we will have to do a skunk off treatment. Tomato juice doesn't work folks and it stains. One year we had 3 dogs get hit and our late golden. That was not fun.

Rocky is rolling around with Moseby as I type and having a grand old time.

The weather was great after the torrential rains. We wished we had the pool on. Oh well...

Another Sunday....

PS: Panda is getting HUGE!

Skunked is not a good experience. Our poodle Gigi got skunked at least 4 times all b/c my brother came home and let her out in strange hours of the night whether city or cottage country. The tomato never did do much but we didn't worry about stain since she was black. I hope I never have to use the solutions Vets carry, but I assume it's better than home remedies. That smell up close is next to nothing! It's also terrible if they get it in the eyes. We all hope Rocky is better tomorrow.

Yes that is true ...tomato juice does nothing! Once one of my late dogs Rosie got skunked at 1:00 in the morning! My husband went running to a local convenience store at 1:30 am to buy 2 large cans of tomato juice. Well I washed her 3 times in tomato juice and all it did was turn her a dull shade of orange?.!!! What a horrid smell! The house stunk for weeks!! I had to throw out the clothes I was wearing!

Not a pleasant memory!

Nathan slept out in the gazebo. We put comfie stuff out there - netting, walls and we learned the year he let the golden in and she wiped herself all over the walls.

Skunk Off works well if you dry it into the coat and then rinse and dry again.

Yes, after I shave her tummy in about a week. She is getting big already!
