Long Day, Short Blog

Not much to update except that Alvin departed. Ozzie, Rafi, Velvet and Mabel are happy to see Nathan. He's the nap guy in the afternoon and just like cats Nathan and the dogs love their afternoon nap after playing.

Is this still summer? Weather is gorgeous. I had Emmy's pups in the pool. The moms rather enjoy the outdoor hang outs after Saffron has fed. The Emmy and Rowan pups try to sneak drinks but they are mostly done.

Orchids are only $20 at Loblaws and there are gorgeous ones. They will reflower in the winter so it's a perfect time to buy!

It's that time that we are thinking about closing the pool. Not me - Nathan of course. Last year we were closed in September. I am hoping we make it to October. We have the vets with Rowan's pups tomorrow so maybe I can sneak in a fast swim before we depart. I will so miss it! They say warm weather till Friday. That means Thursday a swim.

By the weekend they say fall weather will be here. I hope they are wrong!

It's been a busy but fun day. I so need to wash my own dogs. Next week I begin. :-)

Yes, that is Stone and Radar's brother Alvin. They are all holding their color.

Yes, they are holding their colour. I am really thinking about letting Radar's hair grow in longer. I am waiting until his mature coat is completely in, not sure how I will know when that is. Stone and Alvin look so gorgeous. So does Radar, but his hair would be just like their's if I let it grow. Darlah, can you tell when their mature coat is fully in? And, can you just cut around their eyes and have their feet groomed but let their body hair grow? Will that look ok? I don't want to put his hair in a ponytail on his head. I always remember when I was young and my Mum put my long hair in a ponytail, the elastic used to give me a headache..... probably too tight but that is what I equate elastics in my hair to now. hahaha

Great coat colour on Alvin. I have not seen stone recently in the blog. Perhaps I just missed her.

Beautiful coat and colour on Alvin. Angela, the key with the elastic is not to make the pony tail too tight. Having said this, because it's not tight, sometimes I have to redo it throughout the day when Coop decides that he wants to faceplant all over LOL!

I am so impressed by the colour. Wow. Rusty lost all his colour or he would have looked like Alvin I think. However we love Rusty even if he was purple!

Stone is the same colour. He's a boy. I have had him in photos. They were all the same colour with the exception of 1 who was black and white.

Stones adult coat is in now and so is Alvins. Yes you can cut around the eyes and trim the feet. They do look stunning in long coat and if you comb it, it's not hard to take care of as its not thick.
