Crazy Play Day
It's been a crazy play day. It's cool outside and it seems to have invigorated the dogs.
I am heading out to dinner with the daughter tonight.
Our replacement gazebo is getting installed on Tuesday afternoon.
I have so much to do in the backyard and only a 3 week window to get it done between pups. The way Cinnamon is growing, I am concerned at how many.
Pool is still green but you can now see the bottom of the pool. That is progress. Wish they had taken some of the water out but they didn't.
I have so much on my plate but Nathan got supplies for the raffle baskets - now to finish - hoping tomorrow. Then the pups stuff to get ready before they depart - 1st in a week from now.
Air Conditioner keeps freezing over. Got to call an air guy before it gets hot.
Hoping to get new soil in my trug and take out some old. Got lots of cleanup. No furniture out till after the gazebo is placed up. The usual junk everyone has to do.... I just hope you have less on your to do list or more fun stuff.

Glad that your gazebo gets installled Tuesday. Just in time for the long weekend. Lots to do for us outside too. Got some done today, more tomorrow. Waiting to see if all my planting from last year is coming back. Lots of sun and heat on the way so things will really perk up. Have a great dinner. Great gallery as always.
We had issues with them calling us back. Nathan kept calling daily even though they said 48 hours. Then we had someone tell us May 21st after they already took our money for the installation. Nathan got upset and never gets angry at someone on the phone but they strung him along, avoided him and were not forthcoming so he blew yesterday after they told him May 21st.They called back today and have us a new date. Not what was originally promised but better than May 21st. The gazebo is in excess of 450 lbs. It is sitting in our van. They said they will move it - no issue. It was on sale and the heaviest available. We got it due to this gazebo has dealt with windstorms in Saskatchewan. I wanted something that would last through the winter and wouldn't end up in the pit like the other one or broken like the top one. We were about to take it back and get our $$ back. Then they called knowing he was miffed. They did not handle it right. I hope they are not doing it to others and I hope they show up Tuesday. Here's hoping.
At least you have your trug up. We can see the bottom of our pool now. Still green but progress. I need soil and I am so hoping to get to the Farmers Market that usually sells out on Saturday due to Mother's Day. I let so many plants go as Dennis wasn't up to moving them in. sigh
I certainly don’t have all to do that you have Darlah. But, I am finding Spring is so busy. The garden prep seems to take me longer and longer to do. Wonder why? Hope they come Tuesday, you don’t need to be messed with, too many setbacks already.
Angela, let’s face it...as we get older it takes longer to do spring cleanup, at least for me. I’m not ashamed to say it 🤣 it is what it is, and we all do what we can with the time that we have. My motto now is, if I can’t do it today, then it will be done tomorrow. If not tomorrow, then the day after...maybe 😂
Love it Anne, that’s my new motto too! ☺️
There are some things in my life that can't wait or if it waits I pay for it. But my garden suffers yearly. I really wish I had the time and the energy and the ability.

By the way I asked for my trug to be emptied a 1/4 of the way down and put new soil in it. Dump the old under the tree in back. The daughter opted to take me out for a lobster sandwich. It was nice but I sure could have used that trug done. Instead I will do it this week while I also get everything ready for the pups to depart. Going to miss them.
Missing Kai too but know she is going to have an incredible journey.
I have to advertise Pixie and Leo.
Thanks for the pics Darlah. Hope you had a wonderful mother’s day diner! Miko is passed out on the kitchen floor right now. Too much fun lol! Thanks for cleaning him up. Heard he was a handful...he doesn’t like baths. Thank you so much for putting up with Mr. Whiny Pants :)
Karen:
I kept playing with him. I tried serious. I tried singing. He soaked me, the floor but we got through it. He just doesn't stay still. hahahahaha But he is mr lovable!
Am I missing something. What happened to Kai. Did a lucky forever family adopt him. How lucky are they. How did I miss that. Will he come for visits? How is Dennis? Is your cough better? I am getting behind. So busy these days.
Oh no! I’m so sorry for that! I usually put him in the shower and he paws on the door trying to escape. I think I’ll shower him more often to get him used to it. Thanks again.
Darlah, for one, you aren't retired and your job lasts 24 hours a day. You are one incredible lady, that's for sure. You are what I call a Super Type A personality. As you age, you must slow down a bit I'm afraid or you will pay, even more than you do already. We so want you to be healthy for your own and our families. Happy Mother's Day, Darlah!!
Happy Mother's Day to all the human & canine Moms!
Hope you are all pampered the way you deserve to be.
So glad you are having someone install the gazebo this time. I well remember the gazebo building saga from the last time.
Think I must do him often to condition him. It just takes time. TTs don't grow up for years. LOL
Dennis is finally starting to feel better. I only have residual cough and no longer taking meds. We are better.
Kai went to a new home. We are keeping the lighter brindle from Safi. She will be blonde where the darker will look more like Stone. The lighter one is a handful. She climbs, leaps and is Trouble. hehe
Thank you, Angela!! Happy Mother's Day.
